I have the P20 Pro and considered upgrading to this but the P30 is the last to have Play Store access and the ongoing trade war makes me want to move away when time to upgrade in a few months, even though I love this phone.

in terms of the Huawei devices that do still have google services they will receive updates as normal as google has to provide the same level of service to the customer as expected when they purchased the device, hence the license that everyone pays google per device. All devices stop getting support after many years, as to be expected so don't let that confuse matters.

in terms of the Android operating system the support is the same no matter if its got google services or not.

i totally understand people being skeptical right now, i am someone who made the plunge early and have not regretted it. I am enjoying seeing these new services progress and improve. Any time i need to use anything google specific i just use the browser. Its not for everyone but i do not think it will be long until HMS rivals iOS and GMS. Breaking the monopoly so to speak.

Anyways, sorry for the SA - just don't rule Huawei out completely in the future is all i am saying.

Where’s it gone?
Are these new or refurb?
Small print on the sellers website...

Please note - This phone may come with Huawei Mobile Services in the place of Google Mobile Services. Some apps may be affected by this - For more information on Huawei Mobile Services, please visit the Huawei site by clicking HERE

Good question...I thought they would be new but doesn’t say any where 👀
Waiting for price drop ......
Great spec but too much money for something that really is best suited to tinkerers.
I have been put off buying from them, especially after the P40 lite 5G.

I'm in exactly the same boat.
I've gone back to Samsung (S10 lite)
Gonna miss the p20 pro though.
Pretty sure this is for a new one. They usually tell you when it's a grade A etc and it says £250 off which is what the other colours are. I know its one of the best phones out there and besides the Google issues, I just couldn't live with that big notch on the screen. Hot for those who can

Are Huawei phones still banned from Google?
Hot deserved, brand new or whatever this will be. I got it and not yet felt the need to tinkering with the GMS, pictures and battery are outstanding. I also have P20 Pro, another Huawei's quality phone. I shooted the best ever family's summer holiday pictures and video of my life in Rimini a week ago...
Missing the seaside and all the rest..sorry, still blue mood from end of summer..
P40 Pro is a beast

Thata just the standard text to let people know that Google doesn't come pre-loaded. Just in case dullards complain when they tune it on!
They have it in the silver frost which is £949....this is in black

I'm not sure where to go from here, debating just going P30 Pro and have also looked at the Oppo Find X2 Pro but that's a bit rich contract wise for me.

I know what you're saying, the uncertainty and lack of understanding (on my part) is what makes me weary of locking in to a two year contract (as I couldn't purchase the phone outright it has to be a contract.)
I do love my P20 Pro though.

I'd be tempted by the p30 pro new edition too.
I don't know enough about the Oppo to comment really, perhaps if you ask nice MrSwitch will step in with his words of wisdom.
