Looks fantastic - I'm one of the 583 people waiting for the delivery and will report back on how we get on with the tv. Such an interest free finance deal can't be beaten though and was very easy to set up.

Only thing that worries me is this whole dead pixel thing as my computer flatscreen came with quite a prominant one dead pixel and they wouldn't swop it. However, I don't notice it now and anyhow ALL manufacturers seem to have built that into their conditions...

I think they give allowances on a set amount of dead pixels. As it was only the one, as you say, they have it built in to their terms and conditions...

Yeah they have a minimum "tolerance" set so if its under say 20 dead pixels overall, they won't swop it. I think its a cheek because if you have 4 or so dead pixels right in the middle of a screen it can really be a problem. A faulty product is a faulty product i say!! However, I think the chances of it being really bad are minimal and every LCD make has the same issue.

Once you know where the dead pixels are, you can't ignore them either I guess

if you can't send it back because of a dead pixel or 2, can it be refused because of a scratch on the casing

we should be able to refuse lcd's if they aren't perfect, you wouldn't pick one with a dead pixel if you saw it in a shop. and you'll find it very hard to sell on if you decided in future. the first thing people ask 'any dead pixels?'

Placed an order with interest free, this is an absolute bargain in my eyes, was ready to get one last week for 650 without the stand, so we will see.

is it me being thick or does anyone know which 2 parts to send back to them for finance?

all sorted now, my margins cut of the bottoms of the pages so it wasnt on there.

did you get the tv mate? thoughts?

went for the phiilips one over this in the end, £10 more got me a decent known make with 2 hdmi inputs, much better deal, and i went to evesham, and the phillips screen is a lot better quality, go to play.com, and its in there,, you wont be dissapointed.

alos this tv is here: ]http//ww…751 plus you can get 10% off so with quidco less than £550 what a bargain!

thanks scotty mate k+

i think the 2 years interest free is what attracts most people,

just checked and quidco only give 5% cashback.

edit: whats the philips model number mate?

Sigh. It's meant to be delivered today. They had a massive delay on getting stock in, I complained as my husband goes back to work on monday as end of school holidays so no-one around to accept. Evesham paid for special sat delivery...but no sign of it yet!

Scotty- yeah bigup is right, its the 2 years interest free that makes it such a good offer. £64 deposit then just over £20 per month...fantastic

mine arrived there now but im in work so i cant get to it til i finish! im itching to get it up and running!!

Mine arrived today too - what a palaver - waited in all saturday with no luck, monday morning told that it has gone missing at the courier (read stolen) so they sent another one out. Promised to send to my husband's school as he's now back at work, but the courier delivered to our home address - no-one in, although luckily our neighbour was on his day off!! Terrible terrible terrible service from Evesham and courier in getting it here. Customer service couldn't have been politer at Evesham but really didn't get it sorted in 3 weeks!!

However, the tv is fantastic. Lovely picture, great connections, no probs getting it up and running. Looks brillilant. Would recommend it and of course the finance package is hard to beat. Don't regret ordering it despite all the hassle actually getting it delivered.

Use the Redeem Voucher Code of FRIENDS and get 10% off. Go through Quidco and get another 10% off to make it either £480 or £486 (depending on how Quidco take the 10% discount).

Quidco is 5%

So it will be about £540 after 5% friends and quidco. FRIENDS says 20% but it only gives 5% for some reason!

Have to say i am over the moon with the tv, the picture quality is fantastic and the TV itself looks great. All i need now is SKy HD!
