It seems to come and go quite frequently so at some points in time it may show as currently unavailable and at other times it may show £282.87

Not bad considering the Founders Edition version is similar price (which almost got to 100°) and this is a lot better than that one IMO.

Unfortunately, this is a good deal at this price but blame the AI data center markets and miners.

Next best price for this is £379.99 @ Scan and due even later at 01 March

I'm voting hot but Ive been waiting for a 3gb zotac since the 2nd Feb and they keep shifting the date so I wouldn't expect this to be any different.

Still, at least when they say its coming tomorrow and it doesn't you can have a moan and they'll add £5 to your account towards your next order

Just update payment details and add it to the current pending order. My 3gb zotac started at 189.99 and its now 174.99

Who knows, if this continues it could be 169.99 by next week...
Damn it.. missed out.. need one for sons gaming rig.
Keep posting guys..
Cheers.

Shocking price for a 60 series GTX card - more than the 970 launched for in 2014 and pretty comparable performance. The market really has gone nuts.

Mining nuts. Hopefully as Crypto evolves, well let's face it mining will have to die off otherwise when Crypto enters full adoption sometime in the future the electrical cost will be absolutely massive. Crypto that doesn't require mining already exists.

I've been waiting for a PNY XLR8 GTX 1060 6GB (ugly card and probably doesn't perform as well as others but at £244.01 it's an alright trade off) from a different site (Flubit) since 25th January and it still isn't here, because their supplier (Fireworks Merchants) is saying their supplier (Unknown) has been let down by the Manufacturer (PNY?).

I don't really understand why because it showed as 3 in stock at time of purchasing and I only bought 1.

The customer service is quick and quite friendly though so I am going to wait a little longer. If nothing by the next week then I'll probably cancel my order and wait for Nvidia Turing GPUs.

Maybe consider a 970 from eBay - at around £150 they're half the price for extremely similar performance. Both great options for 1080p and then he can make the jump to a card that will properly handle 4k when prices are more reasonable. 970s are also unlikely to have been used for crypto mining so should be a good second-hand bet - I've got a second-hand 670 in my machine that's still going strong.

From what I've heard, it's actually the AI usage and deep learning that is creating the shortage (it has increased by magnitudes in the 3 figures).

Also, I don't think mining is going anywhere anytime soon. It's the electricity cost that somewhat gives it a value IMO. Staking a coin is just holding it and creates more out of nowhere, I don't think that will work and is probably why none of the top coins use Proof of Stake apart from Ethereum which will use it some point in the future but probably for a small percentage of blocks.

Also, most proof of stake implementations just makes the rich richer, which doesn't make sense to what cryptocurrencies are meant to achieve IMO.
He has his mind set on 10 series cards because of the features including streaming to the Nvidia Sheild and twitch etc are supported better with less overhead.
Plus I would be happier with something with a warranty.

Hope something comes along soon!.cheers

I remember when these were about £200. Bloody Bitcoin mining gits!
Paid less then that for the 970 when it was just released, shows how much the new series have gone up by

Be careful when looking at the GTX 1060 as the 3Gb version is much different then the 6GB not just in VRAM. The 1060 3GB is roughly £290 and its slightly better then the Gtx 970.
Depending on what you got your 970 for I got mine for £270 for the g1 gaming which was £30 off the £300 which was the going price ish.

This was also before the bit coin and memory price increases so the fact you can get a gpu same price and performance its not bad.

If anyone can get the 6GB for £290 that would be scorching hot but this deal seems OOS I can't even add it to the basket.
I bought my gtx 1060 3gb for 190£ in November 2016. Same card now same retailer goes for 265£... that is just ridiculous, the whole GPU and RAM market is. I would only buy pre built systems atm, as their prices stayed the same. Just checked pcspecialist’ website, custom built pc, no OS, gtx 1060 3gb, i5 7400, 240gb ssd, 8gb ram, 350w corsair psu with 3 years warranty is 640£. I mean if you buy them seperately, just the cpu+gpu would cost you ~450... and you don’t have a motherboard, ssd or hdd, psu, case. Don’t feed the current market as it will only lead to more increase in price until the market crashes in 1-2 years.
Being a pc enthusiast and having built about 20pcs for myself and friends from scratch, I thought I’d never say this, but buy pre-built!!!

Yeah, it's really rather unfortunate but then again, mini cards are usually only wanted for ITX systems so it should've been a little cheaper than that, and while 1060s didn't have much stock they could usually be sourced from somewhere for around £280.

This will be addressed when cards are released without DVI/HDMI connections and just used for calculations, so like much cheaper versions of Nvidia TEsla.

Either it ran out of stock just before you ordered or you had already ordered one as they limit this to one per customer.
Hmmm.. thought as much.

Will try later...
Got my 6gb for £155 new (with slightly marked box) from amazon warehouse last April, should have invested in a few to sell now ha.
