This is an excellent price for a good brand of PSU. Lowest price since October 2015:

When building on a budget, the EVGA 600W 80 PLUS is a great choice at a low cost. Supporting 49A on a single +12V rail provides more options without having to reduce your component requirements. Save space with the 600W's compact design, well-placed power switch and fully sleeved cables. The 600W offers the connections and protections needed for basic system builds. With a standard 3 year warranty and ultra quiet fan design the 600W will be a great asset for your next build on a budget.

--------------------------

I don't need it myself (came across it while looking for a replacement PSU fan), but it seems pretty cheap for a decent brand and capable PSU.
Not modular.... but you can't expect it to be at this price point.

Spend £10 per 100 watts, minimum. It's the most important component.

This doesnt make much sense. Makes no difference what you pay for a quality psu, you should be looking at reviews etc.

Nice one, just what I needed, I just hadn't realised till I saw this.
I have this and it's a cracking PSU for the price. Fits perfectly in my Dell XPS 8700 and has no problem powering a GTX 970.
I paid £36 for it a few years ago. Just under £31 is a steal!

It makes perfect sense, if you are paying less then this then it means corners have been cut on components or manufacturing. Your PSU can kill everything else in your PC so why risk it for £10 a year more over a five-year lifespan? £10 per 100W is a rule of thumb that's been true for over a decade.

My point is you make it sound like not to buy one on offer and im sure there are plenty of bad psu's that cost £10 per 100w so thats why to me that rule of thumb is pretty pointless, it could just as easy lead someone astray.

Oh I seeeee, I meant based on the average price of the model, obviously a discount is different.

I own a Corsair RM650x and Seasonic Prime 650 GOLD, as main PSU's, BUT i bought 3 from this for 25 quid from 3 different amazon account(for cheaper builds and service purpose), because for its price, this is unbeatable, its normal price is 50+ everywhere, believe me, this is already that category, when this psu blows, takes nothing with it. Hassle free warranty on amazon. Ideal for new budget build with dedicated gpu.
Open to correction on this but I believe this model is a tier 6 PSU (out of 7 total, 7 being worst). That doesn’t confer much comfort in the quality of the build. Definitely wouldn’t encourage using it for enthusiast builds on that basis, particularly if you are planning on overclocking.

I can sell you a 500W piece of CiT PSU if you’d like. A bargain at only £75.
It must be amazing CiT at that price.

That list is good enough for indication. 4.5 stars on amazon from hundreds of customers. That's more important. Imho.
Brilliant PSU use this in my two builds one being heavily overclocked 8700K & GTX 970 and it's been brilliant quality absolute steal at this price!

Tried a few around £50 -£70 all went back due to noise, overheating or failure with overclocking this is my go to PSU and best all rounder really underrated no problems with heavy overclocks & stays cool and quiet.

I wouldn't be so sure. A quick look at Fakespot tells a very different story, with an adjusted score of 1.5 stars due to 60% of reviews of dubious reliability. fakespot.com/pro…ite

No hard feelings. Just wanted to point to that even this website can be deceptive. We can't 100% justify that 100% accurate. Look this one fakespot.com/pro…sor, according to this (fake) report, this is only 2 stars:)! What can be wrong with a top intel processor:)?

Interesting point. Could be that the fakespot algorithms are overzealous... in which case it’s reliability would be questionable. Food for thought!

Fakespot never heard of it. At least use a reputable source or it's worthless.

Looks more like fake news and a pile of fake made up rubbish.

Once again this PSU is one of the best around for it's price - it can't be beaten!

Just saying, is a 600w PSU acceptable in this era of power saving and recycling? 80% is pretty poor.
I did the exact same repost a few days ago and it went hot, for some reason the system for the site telling you this link Is already posted is broken just like my heart was 💔

it only pulls 600w if it needs 600w

these generally exceed the normal 80% efficiency rating

at this price you're not going to be getting 80+ gold or anything stupid like that
