Very tempted... should I be worried that it’s bronze

Good price. Why?

It’s rating I guess? It’s not gold or platinum. I’m somewhat illiterate on the subject, care to enlighten me

It's really just an efficiency rating. Gold and above are normally better power supplies, but there are plenty of decent Bronze rated one's.

Even with 80% efficiency You still have overhead of power unless Youre running multi gpu.Trusted brand and with that price its a good deal.

What do you need it for? 850W is a lot of power - if you could find a better branded Gold-rated one at 550-650W for less then maybe that’s better. But I’ve never had an issue with EVGA as a brand, Corsair’s high-end PSUs are also good (I’ve had my fingers burned by their cheap crap like the VS series which melted and a CX).

I mean, this might be a good competitor - as you probably don’t need 850W:
