I need a new Graphics card and can't seem to get any decent deals, I originally wanted a 1060 but the prices have soared and doesn't seem much of a deal £200+ for some of the poorer versions. This seems like the cheapest version of this card at the moment.
Only worry I have is how are Curry's for returns if I change my mind or a better deal is posted a day after purchase and I want to exchange?

amazon.co.uk/Zot…+TI - Buy from Amazon? - This one is higher clocked and cheaper than the one you posted + you get amazon return policy.

Same boat mate.
£150 at the moment seems reasonable for something that will do 1080p gaming and a bit of encoding sufficiently well for us dabblers.
But, it could also be £150 down the drain when the cryptocrap collapses.

Honestly can't believe this is considered a deal now.
Not knocking you, just the state of the GPU world right now.
Can't believe it's reached the 1050Ti now. These were at least £30 cheaper maybe not even half a year ago

That's what I've been thinking to myself. Pretty sure I remember these floating between £110-£120 and I saw a few of these 1050ti deals and thought it can't be right. Turns out I've been out of the loop for quite a while and the prices have escalated to beyond silly.
I got one in may for £123, with the £10 off £50 on amazon you might be able to get one for nearer that, but unless you really need to i would hold off buying any kind of gfx card until the prices start coming back down.
Remember when the 750Ti came out and it was the sub £100 1080p with decent settings wonder card at the heart of every budget build?

Now its successor almost costs the same as a 760 would have been.

Bargain!

Supply and demand. Graphics cards are a necessity if you want to mine cryptocurrency. The boom in price of bitcoin recently has seen a lot of people buying them to set up rigs to mine.
Supply is lagging behind. You may remember about 2 years ago SSD prices shot up when supply became scarce due to a natural disaster in Japan. If crypto currency decreases enough, it’ll come down again. If not, it won’t. Personally I’d buy one if you’re in the market, don’t see anything changing in the next year or so
The Palit one is currently £140, see another thread. The fan on this looks larger so may be quieter. This is an overclocked version. You can overclock the cheaper Palit one to reach the same speeds.
Crazy prices, paid less than this for an RX480 with Doom not too long ago
Just few weeks ago I bought a palit 1050 ti stormx for £110 on amazon. It was a good deal and I was in the same situation; needed a GPU but prices have been crazy so just got the cheap option. The 1050ti plays all the regular games quite well on high or very high settings in 1080p. Nothing fancy of course, still does the job well (in 1080p!!!!). This EVGA looks much nicer though, so perhaps worth the money if nothing else around. Maybe could look for a used 970 in similar price range?
Same card from Amazon £132.99 with code hotukdeals.com/dea…608

I think Currys do price match Amazon and I think they even price match vouchers so if you want one at this price or have already ordered at the Currys price, and just in case it goes out of stock on Amazon get a price match in quick for a back up.

I got the Palit 1050 Ti StormX 4GB for 129.69 from Ebuyer back in May (now selling for 146.98) for my Ryzen 7 1700 rig. A nice little card whose main benefit is not needing a power connector. Works well with most games at 1080p high detail (maybe ultra on a select few) - I'm using it on both Linux (proprietary Nvidia drivers) and Windows without a problem (have the Steam client on both platforms).

Honestly at these prices I think I'd rather just pick up a 970 off ebay for £100 or so; going into it knowing it'll last you a couple of years hopefully. Maybe by then prices won't be dumb.

I did look into this before purchasing one of these...try £160+ minimum for a used GTX 970 with no warranty from ebay.
GPU prices are insane. My 4yr old R9 270x is within about 25% of this card performance wise and only cost me £130 - 4 YEARS AGO!!

Blimey. I think I'm going to wait a long time before I bother to build a new gaming rig.
4GB 1050's can be used for mining cryptocurrencies, hence the high price and the ever increasing price of NVIDIA shares. Also Microsoft are buying loads of graphic cards for their online artificial intelgence on Azure.

Silly prices on GPU atm, glad I got my upgrade last year, my lad wanted a gaming pc at Christmas, something basic settled for a 960 4gb used at £70, bloody bargain usual sell for a lot more, it beats the 1050ti slightly so have a look around, also consider the 770 as that's an even better card for the moment until prices come down,
