Good deal, not much more expensive than the G2/G3 model. I have the 850W version of this and it's been awesome, I rarely operate at more than 40% load and so the fan hasn't spun up at all making my PC much quieter. Voted hot.

Good deal. Voted hot - thankyou

Saw these but ultimately went with the seasonic focus range (also on discount) as it had a smaller height and are supposably quieter.

Both come with 10 year warranties.

I have the same model, actually the corsair 1000w was around the same amount at the time . Choose the 850w evga though, really happy with my choice. Evga is based on superflower leadex platform-top end vs corsair with CWT-okish.

I've been monitoring the pricing on fully modular PSUs of late, and this was one that stuck out for me also. Platinum + really solid efficiency for those who want good stability on power hungry, or overclocked rigs. Free PO self-tester included with this, which is handy for bread-boarding.

Voted hot!

I also have the 850w p2. I had some stability problems with the first unit but EVGA were very good and swapped out.

Yeah, I have to admit to being a bit of a fanboy for EVGA PSUs now, they've gone in my last couple pf PCs and servers, and some of my builds for family/friends/clients. I always figure that with the 7 year warranty they only work out around 12-15 a year, and that's great value... and that's if they don't last longer than that. Only time will tell.
