1600W... daaaamn. that's a lot of power.

Holy... That would run so many servers, though whether you'd want to run it at full load is another matter, even at the claimed 92% efficiency that would be 128W of heat for 1600W output.

Shame all that power's on the 12V rail, I'm looking to build a storage array that runs entirely on 5V (ARM boards + 2.5" HDDs) but every power supply seems to top out at 25A 5V.

You could run a LARGE heat bed from a 3d printer on this. I don't think anyone can really justify this for a PC.

Even for quad crossfire/sli, this is likely to be overkill... can anyone find a genuine use case for this?

You can get server motherboards that support 10 Graphics cards btw,

I bought silverstone strider gold 1500w for £140 as i intended to x-fire 2x R9 290 only for me to botch the watercooling on my original R9 290.

So i scrapped that idea and grabbed a 2nd hand GTX 980 followed quickly by another.

Would have been a touch overkill with 2x290's. even more so with 2x980's.

All the latest tech is going down in power usage not up but at least i should be safe in knowing that i will never be shy of any power that might be needed.

Plus the price i paid was superb.

total over kill... more isn't always better

wow! i'm looking for a 750 supernova but this seems insane amounts of power, I almost want it!

voted hot on price but i don't advise anyone to buy this...
