£3.60 for 5 litres of white adhesive and grout. Seems like a bargain to me...

Quick search online suggest this sells for around £20 usually.

5 litres does 4.1 square metres according to the tub

Bought 3 at Sheffield Catcliffe store today - they had a pallet of about 50 tubs.

Good deal if you have a JRF near you jtfmegadiscountwarehouse.co.uk/bra…php

If you are serious about tiling, you just wouldnt use this. Especially something ready made.

Would you say the same about B&Q own brand equivalent, that costs 3x the price?

Yes of course, Mapei, Bal are the 2 brands I would use and not some crap ready made stuff in a tub. Would you seriously use this crap on real nice Marble or Travertine tiles for example ? Of course you wouldnt, no matter how cheap it was.

So it's a good deal then. You wouldn't put bog standard unleaded in an F1 car, but you probably would in a Nissan Micra...

To everyone else, do not use this adhesive. Even if it was the most expensive, you do not under any circumstances use ready made tubs of it. You wouldnt even use ready made tubs of Bal for example and that is the best, even though a little expensive. You always use powder.

If you are tiling your walls (as this is what this is recommended for), you do not want any lifting of the tiles, you want a secure bond, you want a nice even spread with a good consistancy. Adhesive and grout are different kettles of fish, please do not use this all in one. It may look ok at first, but you will eventually have the extra expense of having to pull it all off and starting again.
