Seems like a good deal for this, the replacement for Evolution's RAGE3-S mitre saw.

The Evolution R210SMS+ 210 mm multi-material sliding mitre saw can cut a variety of materials such as mild steel, aluminium, wood even with embedded nails, plastic, copper and more thanks to the 24 tooth TCT blade and optimised gearbox and motor speed. When cutting mild steel the saw produces a square, ready-to-weld cut with no heat, no burrs and virtually no sparks, far superior to abrasive cutting methods. The saw is suitable for on-site use and is available in 230 V and 110 V.

An invaluable tool for the home workshop or on the job, R210SMS+ saw is ideal for cutting copper pipe, plastic pipe, aluminium channel, cable tray, softwood such as skirting board, architraves, MDF, hardwood like oak and ash plus much more. When working with reclaimed timber the saw slices through embedded nails, screws or staples with ease. The optional diamond blade (sold separately) completes the package, enabling you to cut brick, stone, concrete and unglazed tiles. The Evolution R210SMS+ is supplied with a R210-TCT multi-material blade (24 teeth) with a 210 mm blade diameter and 25.4 mm bore diameter.

The Evolution R210MS+ includes a premium multi-material cutting TCT blade, dual quick release clamps, slide rail protector, integrated carry handles and a dust bag.

Different model mate, doesn't include the "Plus Pack" hence the cheaper price. A good deal for those that aren't interested in the additional bits and bobs though.

It's very strange, because all the bits Amazon list as part of the plus park come with it with Screwfix, I've had this saw and the strange for a few months, not the best saw but good value for money.

Going purely off the Screwfix photos it doesn't look quite the same (no dustbag, for example), so I'm as confused as you are mate!

Screwfix above, Amazon below:

Plus pack includes (I think) a better disc, quick release clamps, dust bag and hose adaptors, cover for the sliding mechanism, carrying handles and longer power lead.
It's very odd, but despite the same model number, Screwfix's one is Single-Bevel, while at Amazon it seems to be DOUBLE-bevel - see the video at 0:54 (0-45 BEVEL FACULTY FOR PRECISE ANGLE CUTS).

All double-bevel saws are MUCH more expensive at SF.

evolutionpowertools.com/uk/…ms/ - definitely double.

That will likely just be a mistake in the description. You can check on the evolution web site.
Yes, Amazon is unbelievably helpless and useless when it comes to descriptions and specifications
When doing product research I always go to the manufacturers web site to check things out. You have to remember that product listings go through a buyer and the marketing team and they cut and paste stuff and don’t necessarily really know what the hell a mitre saw even is.

From the Evolution Power Tools website (this page: evolutionpowertools.com/uk/…ms/) comes this table:

So it would appear that, yes, there are differences between the two, and that the slightly cheaper one on the Screwfix website is the R210SMS model, not the R210SMS+ being sold by Amazon.

Yup plus pack I detailed above.
Bought. Needed a decent saw to cut laminate flooring. Should do the job nicely.

Surprisingly, even this table is absolutely unclear about the number of bevels.
If you click 'Learn more' it says "0˚ - 45˚ bevel and 50° - 50° mitre settings" only for SMS+, but shows the second bevel on pictures for both models. So, you have to look into the manuals to see that both are double-bevel actually.

The point is that even manufacturers often do their best to confuse us.
My saw was delivered today with 3 plastic parts missing, and Amazon were offering a refund only, not a replacement.
However Evolution CS were very good and promised to send me the missing parts for free.
So, don't rush with sending it back for a refund if the same happens to you.

Sorry to hear that, at least the manufacturer stepped up and did the right thing.
