Another tool for the shed that I will probably not use until its warranty expires. lol don't forget 5% cashback at the moment too
Can't believe the price. I can't say that I would fancy cutting a *lot* of 6mm steel plate with it, but for general DIY woodcutting, it takes a lot of beating (literally). I've found one ideal for chopping out the rotten bits on fence panels prior to replacing them - the only effect of hitting nails is a change in noise, not wondering where the TC tips have gone to...

Managed to get one, didn't risk wasting time on TCB lol. I'm going to be making some 6ft tongue and groove driveway gates any ideas how to cut 6ft of timber perfectly straight with one of these i was thinking on making a guide rail from another cut somehow unless theres a proper solution?

Currently OOS

That is the best solution, clamp a straight piece in place with a g clamp at each end and use that as the quide.
Not OOS just ordered - Thanks Op - can someone Unexpire....

I feel that some cancellation emails maybe forth coming. Seems that any product Tesco offers of late that has availability issues such as this, i.e. keep son going out stock then back in, end up being cancelled. The price suggests this could be possible. I hope not though

Sorry, this product is currently unavailable., Again!

Indicating out of stock for me (sadly). Same thing happened with the tesco ladder clamps (£6) was in and out of stock every 10 minutes or so.

Guide rail is your best bet but most of these circular saws do come with an edging guide so you might get away with that. One thing about tongue and groove gates - they catch the wind and act like sails so use hefty fixings and make sure the gates are rigidly fixed when closed. Otherwise you'll come home one "gale force wind" day to find them hanging from the hinges whilst happily banging against your car......trust me on this

Shame I missed out on this. My friend is a blacksmith and he uses his a lot for cutting 6mm plate and it works fantastically. He swears by it and bought a chop saw one for cutting tube too..
cool
paid £18 for mine last year - still in its box, lol!
It says that is cordless on the Tesco website. Can anyone confirm? and If so, what type of battery??
This must of supposed to have been 129. Hope they honour it

That must be a mistake. Hopefully not. As the cordless one is around 350 normally
I have been looking for a circular saw for quite a while now - gutted that I have missed this / I would have paid more for a good one!
has anyone got any other good deals on circular saws?

Good luck with that one! Just sneak it to the man shed and when you use it and she says is it new? This old thing? No its been sat in there for ages in fact I'd forgotten about it at the back. Usually works for me but then she is as bad buying cross stitch stuff, and cant get away with it as she usually forgets to log me out of ebay and herself in and buys it on my account by mistake
Mine got cancelled
