Super hot - the blades alone are £20-25 for these.

I must agree I would spend a little extra and get a sliding saw.
Much more useful. Still this gets a hot vote as it is a bargain.

You can buy 30mm standard blades and a bore reducer

30mm - 25.4mm reducer:

These have 20 tooth blades so you might want a finer blade for doing skirting etc

I bought the homebase one couple months ago to make my own garden boxes, so much better than a jigsaw. I was originally using the 24tooth blade that came with it but discovered a 60tooth stanley blade on amazon the cuts are lovely and smooth now. It doesn't have to be a same brand replacement blade for these machines.

Like this blade? Thanks - screwfix.com/p/e…150

a 20 tooth blade is ok for rough cutting but skirting and suchlike will be ripped and take extra work to get it smooth. i bought a 64 tooth blade from amazon (summit saw blades) and this works really well, a smooth edge on cuts and little or no finishing required and was £17 so well worth buying. I had a load of branches that i was chopping up and the 64 tooth blade handled it really easily, quickly and the cut was really smooth

Regarding the sliding, beware of these, if the product is budget then the sliding may have some play in it, meaning long cuts may not be as precise as required.

IIRC the general consensus is for low end items, get a normal mitre saw as it has less parts to go out of alignment, and for a sliding one, get a higher quality item.

These are one of them items that you may not use often, but when you do it is a life saver. I had to cut a load of decking to a specific length, this was done accurately and quickly with the saw, doing it by hand would have taken longer and been a ballache!

Def Hot !!!

Actually that's a direct replacement for this saw with no bore adapter needed (it's already 25.4mm) so that's a good cheap find (although it's still 24 teeth, so not great for fine cuts).

I bought one of these 190x30 blades for £13.99 off ebay, note that this is for my sliding mitre model not this one on this deal
