What is a dehydrator?

Say you want to make vegetable crisps - perhaps using beetroot, sweet potato etc. You've got 2 choices:
1) Stick them in your oven at the lowest possible setting for 12 hours - it will still probably overheat them, burn them and lose all the nutrients, or
2) Use a dehydrator
(Actually, there is a 3rd option - buy them from the shops and save the space in your kitchen)

I got a dehydrator on an eBuyer deal for about £18 some time ago and it's been brilliant for making jerky. Need to try it out for some other stuff as well.

Fruit lemon lime zest, veg , kale chips, soak nuts overnight then dry them to get rid of enzyme inhibitors. Another thing i was gonna do was make a culture in coconut water and a little honey with few probiotics then dry it out scrape it up and put into caps it should end up more potent and it means ill never need to buy probiotics again, £30 for 30caps the ones i get.. could buy fruit from the bargain bucket every now n then when doing your shopping and dry it out.. anywho aye just some thoughts You tube will be your bestfriend in learning the basics its like some things you gotta use lemon juice to stop discolouring and stuff, all the best

wow sounds like you need more than one and you'll be super busy...
you had me sold on kale chips!

Good for chilli growers

does this work for liquids, i.e. can you turn soya milk to powder?

I'm sure you could get it to work, id even get some cheep non stick silicone out of Bn'M shop and cut out the shape I need, I was thinking about this for coconut water powder, If you have a juicer I suppose you could make beet juice powder , wheat grass juice powder ginger juice powder sounds like it be good to add to water on the go even lemon juice any way good luck
