Probably better to buy the one that Aldi/Lidl sell. This one has no lid interlock!

The Aldi/Lidl Blender will not be as strong as this machine because is has plastic gear connecting the blades to the motor. So long as the Jug is clean before you begin each use and you start the blender on low and increase to max rather than starting on max everything should be fine.
Had the Vitamix for over 8yrs still going strong but whenever the kids have used it we always have to check its not left on the max setting.
As i said for those that found the Vitamix a bit costly this is very similar in design
