Booking up fast!

Once doors have closed to the public on 26 and 27 March 2015, Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter will welcome Groupon members for an exclusive event. Guests will be granted after-hours access to the studio tour which showcases authentic sets, props and costumes from the Harry Potter film series.

Guests will walk the flagstones of the iconic Hogwarts Great Hall before viewing many of the famous sets – including the Ministry of Magic, Dumbledore’s office, and the Gryffindor common room. In addition, guests will be offered experiences specifically added for Groupon members, such as meeting the real feathered and furry animal actors who starred in the film series and enjoying a special effects demonstration.

Fans will get a first-hand look at the new Platform 9 3/4 and the original Hogwarts Express engine and carriages. And, thanks to Oscar®-winner, John Richardson, the Special Effect Supervisor for the Harry Potter film series, guests will witness the special effects used to create the frosted glass windows of the carriages, as well as the steam coming from the engine itself.

Guests will be able to learn wand moves and will be given the chance to ‘fly’ a broomstick – just like a member of the cast – in the Studio Tour’s green screen experience. During a short break in the attraction’s Backlot Cafe, guests will be offered the choice of a hotdog, chicken goujons or mac ‘n’ cheese, along with a drink, and, of course, Butterbeer before duelling Death Eaters on the Diagon Alley set with their newly learnt wand skills. Finally, guests will depart with a souvenir from the studio shop.

Much as I love the place (i've been twice) this does seem rather a lot for not much extra. I think i'd save the £25 a ticket and not bother with a hotdog and a £3 butterbeer when all you really get is vaguely close to an owl!

cdm22 I agree with what you have said however being closed doors etc and getting a souvenir at the end of the event makes it a little special. I am hoping it is not as packed as when you would normally go considering the amount of money that is being paid.

I hear ya, but over 2000 have been bought already and its only for one of two evenings, plus it doesn't say what the souvenier is...it could be a pencil

Good but doesn't appear to be a veggie option

A work colleague did a similar deal off group on and the gift was the programme!

You could always eat the wand?

It says mac 'n' cheese is one of the options in the description.

presumed that was a cheeseburger

Just googled mac n cheese, doh how stupid do I feel - macaroni cheese lol

Value looks poor. Don't think it's worth extra. Good heads up but cold.

Plus you are not going to get a full day there and presumably the limited time means staggering groups going in will be quite difficult. For those stuck with having to go during school holidays I guess it's okay, though we've been during term time and it was quiet, there was only 3 people waiting for the broomstick thing!

Don't worry I thought Mac and cheese was a cheeseburger to!
