I joined BT Broadband in May (Infinity 1 pack) and chanced my arm to get BT sport free as per their current offers. they wouldn't budge on the BT TV activation fee so I mentioned I have Sky TV and do they have any deals. They took my viewing card number then confirmed I could get it free for 12 months (SD Only) if I recontract my broadband.

Safe to say I took it, also got multiscreen free for 3 months then it's £6/month, thats a rolling contract so will cancel before the charge kicks in.

I contacted them on Live Chat and they called me back and put me through to another team who offered the deal, possibly account specific so worth a try if you have Sky TV and BT Broadband.

Confirmation from the email they sent me

Good luck
Cheers

did you not tell them that you wouldn't be watching on tuesday, wednesday or thursday nights robert? They should've given you some discount for that
I also get it free through sky as it dies not state when taking put bt depots with BB you need a terrestrial aerial to watch bt sports so they had to give a alternative and sky was it.
I think it's a rip off in this day and age to charge extra for HD......
Please watch out . Prices going up are annoying ,hours on phone annoyin
I just got a email offering free 12 months, so check you accounts

Dear

Our biggest ever sports season on BT Sport is here. To celebrate we’re giving away 12 months of BT Sport free with any of our BT TV packs. But hurry, this offer is only available until 15 August.

BT Sport has the best exclusive sporting action all in one place.

• 42 live Premier League games

• Every single live UEFA Champions League and Europa League match

• New this year, the great cricketing rivalry – The Ashes 2017

• Plus loads more like UFC, Aviva Premiership Rugby, MotoGP™, and BoxNation

All you have to do is click or call the number below to pick the right TV pack for you, then add BT Sport to get 12 months of exclusive sport for nothing.

Just remember that this offer ends on Tuesday 15 August.
BT are offering free BT Sport but told me I would need to recontract. I'm currently paying £31 per month and will now have to pay £46. Very poor
Just leave them, i did. I've waited 3 weeks for someone to contact me when i was promised, on 2 separate occasions, that they would be in touch within 5 days, i'm still waiting. I was paying 32.97/month for infinity1 and asked for a deal. the best they could come up with was 47.99/month discounted to 42.99 until i mentioned i could get plusnet for 29.99/month. price matching that could only be done by a manager.
they obviously dont give a s*** and now with everybody leaving the only way they can get people to take up their overpriced sports package is to give it away if you stay with them

Mines hasn't changed and I pay £28.99/month. It's in the terms screenshot in OP.
I phoned up. They checked my account and offered me 12 months free bt sport on sky. Didn't need to re-contract so still on original deal. Only stipulation is you have bt broadband during the 12 month free bt sport otherwise you start paying for the sport. Great deal. Heat added.

Glad someone else posted to confirm it works
If I pay line rental in advance would the cashback track and also can they put the price up in the middle of the contract
thanks op worked a treat for me.
Just realised this is available online as well, just choose no to BT TV then pick BT Sport on Sky.

Doesn't this re-contract you for a further 12 months? So you'd get your current discount for the duration of the (say 12 month) term, but then pay the full price for the rest of the re-contracted period?
