*Only relevant to existing BT customers who cannot get Virgin's £5 a month deal*

I signed up a year ago for Unlimited BT Infinity 1 + Weekend Calls for 12 months @£10/month (Like the existing deal for new customers). I rang up to see if any movement could be done given that I would now be paying £25 per month. Rather than ask about 38mb I asked about upgrading & the price. 12 months can be had for £17.85 per month or 24 months for £15.65 a month (Almost half the existing price of £30 a month & saves the hassle of contacting them again in 12 months time).

daveyboy7474: "£9.75" a month (For Unlimited BT Infinity 1 + Weekend Calls 38mb)

Virgin may be cheaper but BT tends to have better upload speeds

Indeed. I had just recently renewed my line rental saver for £194.28, so the equiv of £16.19 per month. So all in it is the equiv of £31.84 per month.

So if you can get virgin you're better off with that deal.

customer service awful

tbh, this deal doesn't look that good.
Better deal is go to Quidco and sign up the Unlimited BT Infinity 1 + Weekend Calls package and get £ 100 master card + £130 cash back.

BT has better upload speeds and is more consistent then Virgin' this is just my opinion though so bear that in mind before trying to start a row X)

Never had any issues with BT and speed is consistently good.

My deal all so just ended on infinity 1
Unlimited told was going to go up to £25 instead of £10
One phone call now £9.75

This looks to be a good deal for existing BT customers (Quidco/TCB only available for new customers).

I've previously been with BT, Orange, Sky & Virgin in the last 6 years (4 different properties). I've had both positive & negative experiences with all of them. The worst was probably a Sky employee miss selling a package, not using an offer I called up about, but I think he was later sacked. Orange came close with putting a negative mark on my credit file for no apparent reason.

One positive with BT was when I moved out of an infinity area they cancelled my contract for free & let me keep my shiny YouView box. Moved into a Virgin area & was excited to try it out. 12 months into an 18 month deal I finally bought a house in a non cabled area but sadly they charged me for the remainder of my contract, not cool.

BT NW London vs Virgin Area 21 - performance and service from the provider I'd say have been similar. I switched to BT last year from Virgin on the unlimited infinity + calls deal, going back to Virgin next week. Long may the switching continue - I'm permanently wired up for both and just need to swap the modem/line.

i was also offerd £9.75 plus line rental. I am holding out to see if they come back with anything els. as sky is £10 per month but get calls inc mobiles that BT does not do and get £78.75 cashback

They are only offering me £17.50 line rental, £21 for infinity 2. Been with them 2 years

Told them about the deal I found here and they could not match it but manager has given me £17.85 plus line rental

When I rang up I wasn't expecting to be able to get a deal at all. It is a shame companies can't just be upfront about pricing for everyone, all the time!
