Existing Customers - End of Contract - 50% off Any Sim Only Plan @ Vodafone

As title says, my contract with vodafone will end in few days and I requested PAC code just in case found any good deal. The next day I received a call from them offering 50% discount on any sim only plan they have on their website.

For example, 600 min, 3000 texts, 500mb internet, blackberry internet service and 750mb BT openzone cost only £10.25 instead of £20.50 as published on their website!

If you are within 30 days from end of contract, ask for 50% discount which they are authorized to give you. Hope that helps!

Perfect, mine just ended 4 days ago, but tbh, I'm only paying £10 for 500mins, unlimited text and 500mb, I'll see if I can get unlimited broadband from them instead.

Heat for the post OP.
if you go through quidco you will get it even cheaper than 50% any way it is good deal!!!hotukdeals.com/dea…990

Sounds like a good deal, especially if you do not fancy going through the hassle of quidco, etc.

Today I was entitle to the early upgrade option as I am 190 days until the end of my contract and it's crap. Basically from a SIM only of £25 a month they were offering me a HTC Sensation, Desire or one of those for a one off payment of £99 and £62 a month for 18 month + the 190 days left what an early upgrade.

yes, that is better but if you are returning customer and would like to keep your number, you can't go thru quidco.. that is for new customer.. PAC code does not work on same telco provider..

yes, that's the catch for early upgrade.. it is not actually ending the contract earlier, but it is sort of 'postpone' it to later time i.e after you new contract ends..
My contract dosent end until december but I can upgrade online from tomorrow or over the phone 14 october. Can I get this deal now or once I can upgrade over the phone?

I know tell me about it, I was so looking forward to my early upgrade date and then oO it was like being hit by a massive hammer lol.

Anyway I can't complaint I am in a very good deal and already got my quidco paid which was £165. So once the 12 months are over see you later vodafone
Just don't rush in .After you get your code they will start ringing you with better and better offers . I was going for the t mobile deal on here and kept asking them to match it . 1st 3 calls said they couldn't get close . Each time thanked them for trying and said I'll be off then . 3 days later was offered Desire S 600 mins , unlimited text 500 Mb for £12.50 . 24 month on two contracts . Phones comes on Monday .Only pain is I have a Atrix and a Ace to send back.

I am at the end of a 24 month contract with vodafone and ordered an HTC Wildfire on 3 via mobiles .co.uk.The phone was for my wife who has not had a smart phone before. She hates it as the keyboard is too small for her fingers.Reading the Returns policy of both 3 and UK mobiles it seems to say that we cannot return it if we have made calls or sent any texts with it .It is still within the 7 days since it arrived and the only texts sent were sent by mistake when trying to get used to it (2 texts half written which the phone sent because my finger hovered over the send button)( I am sure I did not touch it!) the recipient then sent a text to the phone "asking who are you?"
Am I stuck with this Phone now? Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
Incidentally the Quidco £30 is showing as Declined already.

does anyone know if this offer is available in store for upgrading customers? Im currently eligible for an upgrade either online or in a vodafone store but cannot see this deal on the website though.
Fantastic deal!! Heat added!

We joined vodafone on a sim only contract over a year ago on a 12 month sim only contract and used quidco and the £120 cashback came through.

After seeing this post I requested the PAC code yesterday and they put me through to the upgrades department who said they couldn't offer me money offer from their department so I persisted and asked for the PAC code which they send by text.

Vodafone called this morning and asked me what sort of a deal I would expect from moving providers and I told them that I would expect to get something which worked out at about £11 a month similar to the amount I paid over the first year. He put me on hold for a minute and then said he could extend my contract for another 12 months and give it to me for £10.24 inc VAT a month.

Presumably it will go back up after the 12 months when I will try the same thing again

The vodafone sim only works on the iPhone too. They are sending me a microsim for free because we are going to be changing handsets to the iPhone 4.
Thank you for the heads up OP. I requested my PAC code yesterday and then received a call today, I explained to the man on the phone that with quidco my line rental worked out to 50% of what I was now paying (£20.42) and I was leaving to because there is a similar offer available and I would take that. After speaking to his manager he offered me a 12 month extension at £10.21. I am well chuffed.
is this deal still on?

What deal were you on with your expiring contract? Was it similar to the new offer?

I got a phone call and an email but told them I was going to "3" so I could use Skype to talk to my daughter who has just moved 200 miles away and is getting a new "3" contract herself. They seem to have given up as that was 2 weeks ago.
I haven't used my PAC yet (it runs out 21/10/11) .Do you think I should call them and what phone no. do I call?

Thanks for your reply. So it looks like you got a 5o% reduction and a very desirable new phone.Excellent, well done,I'm pleased for you.

My usage was always well within my allowances so they never got more than my contract payment which was only £10 pm,so that's most likely the reason they didn't persist. When they rang me i wasn't ready for a negotiation and I guess the guy sensed he wouldn't get me to stay with Vodafone.
The laugh is now my daughter says she might not get a Three phone after all , and I have already taken out a Three contract
It's not too bad though,I was in a good negotiating mood this time and rang Three direct. Managed to get a New Samsung Ace,with500 mins/5000 texts/ 1 Gb data and 2000 Three to Three mins for £15 pm
She better get a Three contract after that or I will have to buy her one for Xmas!!(_;)
