existing orange customers half price line rental for 18mths on dolphin 35

Been looking to upgrade our current contracts & handsets for around a month.

Checked some online sites & the link were offering 15 or 16 mths half price line rental with selected phones on orange for new customers.

Anyway to cut a long story short, rang orange and after being passed from pillar to post we eventually got put through to disconnections who said that they would better the link's offer & gave us 500 free x net minutes & unlimited texts for £17.50 a month for the 18mth contract.
Got a free Samsung D900 & Sony Ericcson W850i as well!

So anyone looking to upgrade shop around on the internet first and always deal with the people on disconnections they have alot more power than those on upgrades.

Can also get broadband free with it saved us £50 a month in total

Not bad without cashback but there are better deals - take a look at some of duckys posts. 3 seem to be best for retention deals.

I just set my new contract, I tried to cancel and they offered me 2500 xnet minutes and unlimited texts for just £35!!!

so I took the deal!!

:thumbsup:

That's a really good deal too. I guess it depends on how many minutes you'll use a month, We had 400 minutes before for £30 but i don't need anymore minutes than this. I was going to cancel & go back on payg for free texts until they offered us this.:)

HAve a look on the link website if your looking to stay on orange.
Find the phone you want then ring orange & ask to be put through to disconnections.
Tell them you can get the phone you want with the link & half price line rental for X months (depending on phone) & it's not worth your while staying on your current contract.
They'll offer you something but you might have to agree to an 18mth contract.
We've been paying £30 for 400 mins & 30 texts.
Good Luck. Lady hubby spoke to said it's a buyers market & the company's will pretty much match anything to keep their custom.

My girlfriend has an Orange Contract that is due to expire.

I have checked the link and they have a Sony Ericsson W880i on Dolphin 35 - which is what she wants for 18 month contract with 6 months half price.

Does anyone know of any better offers that Orange are likely to match/better for this phone with other phone websites? Ducky?

Also do they still give 12 month contracts or is that a big no no.

Thanks,

J

Well I know it might seem like a case of "mines bigger than your's" but here's what Orange offered me to stay 8months ago.... for £35/month - 18month contract

* Any phone I want.
* 550 x-net anytime mins.
* Unlimited txts.
* Free wireless Broadband
* Magic number every 6months
* £300 credit.

They also offered me the 2000mins extra but I couldn't have £300 credit...... but that was fine cos I'd just finished uni so I had a landline once more & I only really call my girlfriend and those call are now free!!!

The way I do my contracts is see what will it cost me over the contract time....

This contract worked out great cos.....

£35 x 18 = £630

but I'm not paying for internet now so I'm saving £18 an month so - (£18 x 18 ) £324

so contract is really £630 - £324 = £306

Then the £300 credit... £306 - £300 = £6

£6 / 18months = £0.33 a month contract!!! No redemption, No forms, Just use the phone :-)

Didn't I do well :-D

Everything I've read rates it very highly and I'm thinking of getting one to replace my wifes 6230i as she doesn't like too many whizzy things :thumbsup:
