Morrisons 100% British Shoulder of Pork

£2.00 per Kg

Pork joints are quality, tender cuts from the leg, loin, belly and shoulder. With just enough fat to add rich flavours and succulence, the meat melts in the mouth after a long roast.

Perfect for a Sunday Roast

Ideal for feasts with family and friends, pork joints are easy to prepare and flavoursome. Just rub the meat with a bit of seasoning for crunchy crackling and roast for an hour while you put your feet up.

Checked with Asda, Sainsburys and Tesco and they are all around £4.45/kg

You can make James Martin out of a shoulder of pork?

Of course not. You need to add a suit jacket and pair of jeans.

This Joint is really bad.

I bought two a while back and they are stuffed with fat. 70% of the joint was actually fat and the little meat that was in it tasted bad.

Avoid!

Was about to put the same about the fat content of Pork Shoulder, going back to the recipe - nearly 8lb of pork for 4 people........... you won't be leaving hungry around his house!!! In fact you won't be leaving!
Cheap for what it is though - have some heat

Do love slow roasted pork shoulder awith cider gravy!

This cut needs cooking very sloooooooooooowy, and then it will be very tender..2kg about 3 hours

Fat means flavour! And the meat isn't in an opaque box, you can have a look to see how much fat is on the joint before buying it. I put mine in cider overnight on the oven timer and 5 hours of cooking makes this fall apart.

I had this pork for Easter Sunday and it was lovely and lean. All pork joints are not the same - don't just choose on price or size...examine the joint. Look at both ends and you can easily see if it is lean or fat and then rub salt into the crackling and cook slowly....deeelicious!!

My favourite cut

Oven at 140 for 5 hours, falls apart. mmmmmmm

We really park our cars in the same garage,

Got a nice piece in the oven right now......will be throwing some spuds and carrots round it later ready for a lovely(cheap) tea, with plenty left over for cold pork sandwiches tomorrow.

whats wrong with amount 70% fat anyway...its straight from the animal n has zero carbohydrates so if you ate right this wouldnt be a problem for whatever issue you have with it

Cooked this yesterday - it was superb! Thanks for the slow roasting tip, it worked a treat. Beautiful joint, very little fat. so tasty and succulent.
Hope the offer is still on.
Many thanks OP.
