A FULL CARBON bike with FULL ULTEGRA for less than a grand! What's not to like?

Good price

My mate has one of these.... Very nice bike for a great price!

Not quite full Ultegra, as its an FSA crank. Still a lot of bike for the money. Hot!

As far as I can see from their website specs, it has Ultegra chainset.

Looks like FSA wheels to me

Could get a car for that price.

Cars aren't very good for cycling. They weigh more and aren't as aerodynamic.

is this ironic or are you one of those genuinely clueless-about-bikes bods who always chip in on any decent bike thread?

Watch delivery times with Planet X, they'll tell you 10-21 days. Current build is over 30 working days.

Great price although I wouldn't say a deal as it's been this price for a while. Especially if you have my 10% off code :p. You will have to wait a long time though as they are built to order and have a long waiting list - about a month turn around.

Do you wear high vis and lycra and think you own the road ? even though you pay no tax or insurance?
[/quote

tax was abolished, it is based on emissions which bikes do not have!

Anyone want last year's Planet X Pro Carbon with Ultegra 6700?

Have some heat, brilliant deal!

love the old tax argument, I dont even pay tax on my car!
been this price for a while but still great deal, nearly went for it myself. Got a TCR SL1 instead. Hot

this isn't a deal since this price is the RRP! nice bike though! don't like the decals, plain would be better

yes, it's a genuine one! I heart you guys. you make me chuckle. you even used the old: "you don't pay road tax bullish+t". thank you for making me smile.

oh and to answer your helpful questions: i) yes, I look hellacool in my Lycra and ii) I sometimes wear hi-vis because some other road users can be utter t+ts and I like being alive thanks.

I know what you mean about it not being a discount deal. Fair play. On the decals, just order black on black.

How can this be rrp? Ultegra full set is over £500! Must not be very good carbon...

Amen to that. I can't do with drivers rattling on about cyclists owning the road. Hop on a bike and you'll find car drivers are way more dangerous than cyclists and pay far less attention.

My thoughts exactly.. Seriously though this would get stolen in a heartbeat if you left itANYWHERE which isn't enclosed and secured under lock and key! Bike locks? Ha.

You would have thought they would have included some form of security for this price. Bike technoligy really isn't advancing is it.. oO

Ultegra group set , under 8 kgs full carbon frame

Better value than boardman?

yeah a sh+t car, but this is an awesome bike fit the money. As for security, you pick whatever suits and buy that. I don't wannt anyone to choose my lock, then add the price on. Thank you though for advancing the argument that we need more high quality bike lock ups in more places.

£1000 would buy you a crap car. £1000 buys you an ace bike. It's all relative. My bike is £700 and my car is way way more. It's all relative.

As for security, my bike lives at home or work. Very unlikely to get stolen. You don't often leave bikes like this on street corners, it's a racer. You are either on it, or its a home. As far as I know, no bikes include security. You wouldn't want to add weight to a racer, that's the point

The next time someone posts a deal for a car which costs £40k are you going to reply with the same comment?

I have one, great bike for the money, you maybe can get a better frame, but with the Ultegra Groupset for just under a grand it's great buy.

The un-educated saying you can get a this or that for however much should go & test ride both a cheap road bike & a £950+ carbon the difference is amazing even for me who isn't the fastest rider (I need all the help with speed I can get!!)

Hope it's still this price when my cycle 2 work scheme reopens!

Heat!

Great bike. I've had the Planet X rt57 for just over a month now amazing bike, went for that as full ultegra 6800. Can't believe they managed to upgrade the pro carbon to same full groupset. At 999.99 it's a bargain and in within the cycle to work budget. If you have doubts and thinking about buying don't and just buy one. My Planet X beats my old specilized and seen many new PBS on my new bike

Not steel. cold.

No tax is to get you out of your car and onto a bike.
