Thank you for your assistance.

I purchased a refurbed model for the wife after having purchased a brand new one for myself a few months earlier. Honestly can't tell the difference between them. Had a slightly worn cardboard box and that was it! Great saving on an awesome product

Previous deal is only £124. This time is £30 more expensive!

Not a great deal...

its almost 40 pound off the price.... and i dont think you can get cheaper else? at the moment?

Few weeks ago it was £179 at CPW.

That was new whereas this a refurb. I bought a couple of these last time round and couldn't tell them from new but others have not been as lucky.

Not worth it now they have increased it by 30 quid, New model out in few weeks so there will be better deals.

160 NEW from very using code and tcb

Disappointed I had an alert set up for this.

Not worth this price when you can buy brand new for not much more using vouchers etc and when a new version is due soon.

They sold that batch too quickly so someone from HQ had a brainstorm session and increased the price.... Glad got one in £124 deal frenzy...

£140 in Clearance Bargains store.

Bought one for £124 used it for a month and now it's gone, I'll stick to my BB :))

Really want one of these but never know whether to wait & see if price comes down anywhere else or just go for it....

I'd wait for the new nexua 7

whaaaat? when were they ever £124? I'm an HUKD regular and missed out on that one

doesn't really give us a view on this product tho? how is the BB better for you?

not small enough to be truly pocketable yet too small to be truly productive...7" tabs are such a fad.

You forgot to add "in my opinion" to the end of that ridiculous statement.

Tend to agree not enough saving on this current deal to make it worth the risk versus a new one. Still the best price I can see though so a good deal if it suits you.

New Nexus 7 will be in the market in July. The specs and prices are still unknown. This is a bargain at this price. I will go for this one. Thanks OP

Four weeks ago I went for the 32gb nexus 7 advertised as refurbed. Clearly returned by a previous customer and not properly checked out. Physically it looked mint but it had an obvious inherent hardware fault that a factory reset etc would not cure. They were happy to do a full refund, so happy in fact that they were not faintly interested in the reason why I was returning it. Didn't even ask.

Argos should have described the offer as "we've collected in all the 'manager's specials' and it's lucky dip time" it would have been more accurate. Not voted on this deal but be aware.

I bought 2 for £124, both faulty.

Thank you for all for the comments, it´s been very interesting to hear about the new model that will use the alternative Snapdragon processor and also will come with a higher screen resolution. Google certainly seem to want to stay in the game and develop their product and their share of this market whilst also giving the consumer an affordable and effective product.
The news of a newer model, that will most likely cost less, certainly makes the decision of buying now (whether a new model or a refurb) much trickier.
Regarding "Refurbished" items, there is the possibility that these may have to be returned again, Argos has a reasonably good policy on this, so if you don´t want to take the chance or it will, in the event that the product is faulty, pose problems to do so, buy new instead.

Is this a good price for a Nexus 7? Definitely.

Is this a good deal for a refurb? Not really. Same things were definitely only £124 a number times last month.

It's still a fantastic bit of kit (got one on day of release last year) which is already selling for next to nothing.

They will simply stop selling these when the new one comes out, you can forget seeing anything other than some short lived clearance deals!

Unless you want to camp eBay all day for the £124 deal, this is not bad. By the time an alert hits here they're all gone!

I managed to pick one up the first time Argos outlet had them for £124 but it was entirely luck, they had about 250 of these and sold out in about an hour from being posted on HUKD. Saw the offer repeated but was already expired. Think Argos have cottoned on now that they were selling below market value somehow... lol

Bought a few in the last batch at £124.
They were in pristine condition in original box.

Bought a Samsung note from Argoosy said to be refurbished, looked great in box and out, bought screen protector and case/keyboard etc then when I came to fit a 32Gb sd card it would not stay in the reader. Contacted Argos and they were dismissive, would give a refund but were reluctant to repair. I stuck to my guns and demanded a repair, was given the address of D+J Henry Argos's repair agent. Contacted them and asked about a repair, reported the problem and was told it would be picked up and returned repaired in two weeks, so I thought, great. Rang D+J Henry towards the end of the second week to ask about a return date so I could be in when it was delivered, was told we will be sending it off to Samsung this week as we cannot repair it!!! I was gobsmacked, it is a £6 piece of kit which can be bought from ebay and fitted n less than 10 minutes as seen on youtube and they were not capable of this simple repair. I was shocked to say the least. Just my experience with Argos ( and I would usually buy refurbished from a reputable company ) which is very disappointing.
