If you an accept the risk of fakes (and reduce the risk using previous buyer ratings), you can pick these up for less on ebay.

Or spend literally a couple of quid more and get the superior CX500s on ebay.

How very opportune! My old ones have just started to buzz so I'll be having some of these. Heat added!

DO NOT buy these off of ebay or playtrade. There are so many good looking fakes around. Some even come boxed as the original do.

For the money, these are worth it and you know they are genuine. Have a look on Amazon too, who always have different colours for around the same price

Hot from me

Bought these from Play the other week for £15.99, hot deal.

What's the difference between these and the 500s?

IIRC?

Apologies if it's a common term, I'm new to this (rather brilliant) website.

It has been posted few months ago, but then it went out of stock, and now it's back in stock

cracking pair of headphones, if you're thinking about it don't hesitate I've had a pair of these for years. Make sure you use the right size buds for your ears, they come with all 3 sizes, sml med and lrg.

i had these for just over a year but then broke. I moved over to skullcandy for a bit and was loving the sound but they broke in 6 months. I nearly went with another set of SC's but there was on offer from here and went back to these Senn's

I'm so glad i did. I'm actually using the SC buds on these and they're even better. Lovely clear sound, mind blowing bass when i have these buried into my ears. Think I'll always stick with Senn's from now on.

I have the CX400's, used to have the 300's (400 is pretty much the same is 500 apart from no volume control), and I found the 400s a lot more comfortable and better overall range of sounds, I would pay the extra to get the 500's IMO

I have the 300 Mk II and they are the best pair of earphones i have ever had, rich deep bass

They were for the white pairs but they have now sold out.

The CX 500's have a (very annoying) inline remote.

They supposedly have improved sound quality, but I really cant tell any difference.

I would go for the 300's every time. No inine volume, and cheaper

Carnt decide, these or the Shure E2C?

any of these with mic for the iphone ??

Got the white ones as they are only £11.39, the black and silver are more expensive!!! What is wrong with play trade rather than Play?

Because they sell fakes.

I never was a fan of in-ear types. They sound good, but they irritate my ear. It gets all itchy for me.

I got myself an iPhone, and those earphones were worse. Or at the very least, I thought they were.

I found a trick to make the Apple earphones sound very good. All you need to do is modify it a bit and the comfort and sound increase so much. I now prefer them to any other earphones out there (even in-ear types).

good deal for the CX300's nonetheless.

Get the CX500, the internals are different and a lot better.

OMG Apologies for not indicating the trick haha!

Well, I noticed that in-ear earphone have a small area of concentration where the sounds go out. I then looked at the Apple earphones, and there you can easily see that the entire earphone is like a mini speaker.

Why does the Apple earphones sound so awful? It's because when you put the earphones in your ear, part of the mini-speaker gets nullified by your skin.

THE TRICK: I tried using those earphone "foams" you put on earphones on the Apple ones, and when I used them, WOW, it was just like I had small speakers with a decent full bass sound in them!

The sound was big, it was rich, it was definitely BASSY, and only then I realized that the BASS I was hearing with the In-Ear types sounded like tinfoil bass.

I bought some ear foams on that popular auction site. Some guys in China are selling it for a quid a dozen I think., in different colours.

Anyone here care to try this and tell me how it goes? I hope it's not just because I have big ears LOL

I bought the Shure SE110's from Play when they were on offer for about £18.

They were so lousy, that, out of desperation, I bought these Seinheiser ones instead, and have never looked back. They fit nicely (but you have 3 sets of ear pad things to experiment with), and they sound fab straight out of the box.

Just remember to wrap the cable around your iPod when you've finished with them. The cable is a bit rubbery and sticks to itself, so it can take ages to untangle it otherwise.

Voted hot.
My Susan Boyle CD sounds fantastic on them. (Okay, I lied about that last bit.)

does this work with ipod?

I've heard generally that they're pretty rubbish. Sad as I really want the Tokidoki ones but not forking out £60+ for ones that just look good.

I got the CX500s but not really that impressed with them, tried messing about with the different sized buds but didn't make much difference. I prefer my Sony V300s but they've had to be glued back together a few too many times.

has anyone ordered the £10.19 sennheiser cx300s from playtrade (play.com)?
the price seems v good but i can't be sure that they're real.

I am hating my CX 500s, if anyone wants to buy them from me please get in touch. They've been used for about 10mins- I usually use dj headphones, forgot how much I hate in-ear ones
