As well as supporting 1080p, the Sony Bravia KDL40EX503U features a 24p True Cinema mode for watching movies just as the director intended. Also yours to utilise are Live Colour and Scene Select, allowing you to fine-tune parameters and match the requirements of what you are watching, be it widescreen film or World Cup semi-final.

Connecting your other devices could not be simpler, with four HDMi inputs and a USB port included. The Sony Bravia KDL-40EX503U is also WiFi-ready, so all you need is an adapter to upgrade to wireless - cutting out unsightly cable-clutter. Stream content across your home network via DLNA!

Care to say why...

These were on sale at Tesco Direct for 399 about a week ago (without the extended warranty).

froogle.richersounds.com/pro…503 £499 - no guarantee but to be honest the "fit for purpose" argument would cover for at least 2-3 years

Bought from John Lewis on monday for £399 got them to price match tesco and got a 5year warranty with JL.

Here's the link to the Tesco deal if you want to read through the comments (there's quite a lot of them)

Bought from John Lewis back in January - £399 inc. 5 year warranty

Does this include the £100 trade in for an old telly? If so then that brings it down to £429 which is only £30 more expensive than the Tesco deal last week surely making it a pretty good deal - as cheap as you're going to get this telly anyway.

No, price includes trade in so £629 without.

Ah well this is indeed a poor deal compared to tesco last week. Wonder if we'll ever see that price again on this TV?

I'm pretty sure the JL January deal was for the EX403 not EX503.
