On a side note, i got one of these from Curry's last April for £370. Very good tv, had no trouble with it playing on my PS3, or using it to watch Blu-ray. I have noticed a slight crackling noise if i have the sound on the lowest level, but other than that there is no issue with it. It can also be hacked fairly easily for USB playback, which i have done. Only 720p though.

The 2011 range is just making its way into the shops so all these low prices are attempts to shift the 2010 stock.

Solonely- If you love Makro so much, "why don't you marry it" ?

It may be an old model (These sets have been around since early 2009 AFAIK, so approx 2 years old), but a brilliant price for a decent quality branded TV of this size...

I think this must be making way for LED TV's.

Maybe a strange question but how can a general consumer buy from Makro ?

Walk in and join, make up a business and a position for yourself in that business, just say it's a small home business. Or ask a friend to register you as a PA on his or her business, it's only for makro purposes, dosnt go on your tax returns or anything! Makro want as many customers as they can get, in fact a few years ago they got in trouble for letting people into the store without cards or being members, so they are a sidge stricter now.

good deal. have some heat

Says on their website that you need
"Companies/Organisations

(1) V.A.T. Certificate of incorporation from Companies House or copy of business bank account statement.
(2) Personal photographic ID of the cardholder.

Self-Employed

(1) Recent correspondence from HMRC (Inland Revenue) or a copy of a recent business tax assessment.
(2) Personal Photographic ID of the cardholder."
So which is it? I'd have thought it was a little tougher than just making some little details up...

Good deal...voted hot

Not really a deal if you need to be a member of some crazy club scheme. I thought Makro was for people who liked buying 100 cans of baked beans or 200 toilet rolls - not for the purchase of single items?

Just picked up one from makro Poole, was in box, without any sales ticket saying the price or anything about it (possibly why it was still there!). Just plugged it in at home and all seems to be working fine, a bargain at £180! Many Thanks OP.

Clew123, were there many left at the Makro Store in Poole?

Your help would be much appreciated.
