It's £19.99 in Argos, so nowhere near half price - but a decent saving.
Compared next to a pack of normal playing cards it is outrageously expensive but to be fair it is a brilliant game, we'll all be sat round a table Christmas Eve playing it.
Been in my watch list a while. So has the NSFW version, which has also been reduced to 15.99. Bears vs Babies is reduced too, but still pricey at 23.99

I might bite on this
Anyone know if this is accessible/appropriate for a 4 year old?
Backed this on Kickstarter. Cards are just about shot from use now.
It’s a good game. Never got people who say it’s expensive compared to a pack of playing cards. You can’t play exploding kittens with a 52 pack of playing cards.

To be fair, the quality of the card stock is also very nice. I agree not cheap, but definitely worth it! I’d go NSFW if you have anyone over about 14.

I think your missing the point.
Playing cards are a pack of printed paper or vinyl and cost a couple of quid.
This game is a pack of printed paper or vinyl and retails at 29 quid.

We bought this game when my boy was 5, it is fine, just comic book type pictures, no bad language, it’s just whether they would be able to play the game (my boy loves uno, wist, patience, clock).

So the thousands of hours of innovation, design and play testing have no value?

A newspaper is a penny of paper and 2p of ink, but sells millions at 50p-£1 a day. Can say it about anything if you ignore the work that goes into something.
I've been eyeing this up for a while, I think I'm going to snap it up. My boy is 13 and hasn't heard of it, but I think he's going to love it...
thx missed this when it was £15 - thx ordered

I have the nsfw deck. That's not suitable for some adults.
