Here is a great Nov/Dec holiday to Thailand. The itinerary is a suggested one and can be amended to suit. All accommodation is rated excellent or very good, and private bathrooms. They aren't luxury 5* options, but are good value for money with good reviews.

20th November

Leave UK for the flight to Krabi – direct.

21-23 November

You’ll spend 2 nights in Krabi, but you'll return to Krabi later on in the trip.

23-25 November

On 23 Nov you will fly to Chiang Mai, you’ll arrive in the evening and this itinerary allows for 2 nights in Chiang Mai. This is enough time to spend a day visiting an elephant sanctuary and also time to enjoy Chiang Mai itself. There is also opportunities to visit Chiang Rai and Laos as a (long) day trip too.

25-26 November

On 25 November you will take the overnight trian leaving at 6pm from CMai for Bangkok. I've included the price for 2nd class sleeper train but for £11 more you can have a 1st class sleeper all to yourself if you wish.

26-29 November

You’ll arrive into Bangkok on 26/11 from the overnight train. You will spend 3 nights in Bangkok, close to the riverside. There is plenty to occupy you in Bangkok, and I enjoyed heading out to Bridge on the River Kwai and the history of the Death Railway.

29-30 November

You will fly to Phuket from Bangkok. You will only spend 1 night in Phuket, but you could extend this if you wanted, but I think it is better to use the ferries to explore outside of Phuket.

30 November – 3 December

On 30th November you will take the ferry to Phi Phi. You will spend 3 nights in Phi Phi at

3-5 December

You will take the ferry from Phi Phi to Krabi and spend 2 nights in Krabi, before flying back to the UK.

Went to Thailand this summer. Excellent. I'd recommend the Shanghail Mansion hotel in Bangkok. Centre of Chinatown and walking distance from most places. Also only 5 min walk from the river ferry jetty.

I have gone to Thailand every year in December for last 5 years. Can't this year as I have a nipper on the way. Voting this hot..someone else please go and enjoy it for me.

Heat for the deal and the effort. I hope that go have a great time.

Couldn't recommend this enough

Couldn't agree more about staying at the Shanghai Mansion. Lovely hotel and a much more interesting part of the city to stay in.

Great itinerary and a bargain holiday!

Currently in Dubai Airport on way back from Krabi. Our hotel was set in jungle and was a human -vs- mosquito war zone. Jungle strength repellent was borderline useless but Avon ‘Skin So Soft’ worked really well. Take oral and topical antihistamine

I use Avon too, works amazingly well. To avoid bugs in rooms take peppermint and citronella oil, your room will stink but bugs hate the smell.

What's with the

annoying spacing?

Probably settings when inserting pics. Hot deal btw. I booked my August summer holiday to Bali on the back of a deal by OP. Amazing and very cheap - thanks Rachel&G, really grateful. Subbed to find next year's August holiday

I dunno I've gone in on mobile, desktop and app to amend it and it keeps reverting back. If anyone can change it feel free.

I actually thought this was a joke that got past the swear filter.

Tempted to book this as a single bloke?? Worth it for the single traveller. I get frightened easily?

Haha, no joke definitely legit. Thailand is very geared up for solo travellers out of every place I've visited Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia all good for single travellers and where you are most likely to meet other like minded people on solo trips. Go for it.
