Good to know. The connection is made quite consistently (and wrongly) by those who suggest the Express is peddling "hate". The Express is well know for its editorial stance against open borders and membership of the EU. Perhaps you could explain to us how buying the Express funds "hate"?

ekat94

no matter where you go on the internet, there's always an ignorant person hahaha :D

Mozart321

I don't recall mentioning the EU. Being anti-EU as far as I am concerned isn't being racist. I find it very interesting that you should make that connection however.

ChrisPalmer

Yes, because anyone who doesn't agree with open borders and membership of the European Union is automatically hateful.

bargincrazylover

Disgraceful! was you able to obtain one from under the counter?

smiler190996

They were on the shelves last night when I went in for one. I went back today to get another but they had vanished off of the shelves. I asked to speak to the manager only I left the store 2 mins before it shut last night and knew they had 6 or 7 left. I said this and that I was the first customer in the store today so where are they and that's when I was told they were behind the tills now. They aren't on show so not sure if this was a crafty move on their part.

blasto3111

I'm glad you managed to get one :) A lot of stores didn't seem to know about the offer and put the stock on shelves instead. But people seem to be finding them OK which is great.

smiler190996

Thank you op,picked one up in Portsmouth at 11 this morning. They have them behind the tills and still had about 8 left.

Lidl £5 off £40 in Saturday's Daily Express 85p

£5 off for every reader when you spend £40 Valid until 5th July
bob99999

poster elsewhere says there are vouchers for 4 weeks of £5 off £30 by the tills in store

RayB

Looking at the front page of the paper, which says free DVD, that's a con as not only do you pay for the paper but you have to pay postage for delivery of the DVD, which I am sure is more than £2. Might as well go and buy one. If you buy the paper for the Lidl voucher, of course its only worth £4.15 after taking the price of the paper off. Last time, Lidl included the voucher in their leaflet, so you did not have to buy a paper, and it was a £30 spend, not £40. If Lidl cares so much about its customers, they could do better by repeating that exercise instead of putting vouchers in the more expensive weekend newspapers which a lot of people don't want to read. Having said that, I prefer Lidl to Aldi as I like their product range, and I am a fan of Lidl, who do sell herbs and spices and a wide variety of cheeses, contrary to one of the liars who claimed otherwise on here. Both of them have a more limited range of products which is one way they are profitable and very competitive and why they are taking business away from the big 4 supermarkets.

No supermarket in the universe is ever perfect for every one all the time.

Aww, sorry, you've missed these now:( poster jimmybo posted about the Lidl voucher Saturday morning, that's in selected Saturday's papers, so you would've needed to get one then. The £5 is off a £40 spend. Have seen on here that some people are selling the vouchers on eBay, but tbh, unless there's something you desperately need, you could wait- as Lidl seem to do the vouchers once a month? May not be set in stone tho' as Aldi have recently stopped doing their similar offer. Tbh, my only motivation in buying the papers was the Lidl vouchers. I actually bought mine in the Lidl store, as part of my £40 shop ( tip thanks to backinstock) Lidl don't sell the Sun, I wouldn't buy the Sun anyway, but I believe it's a bit cheaper. I bought the Daily Express as it's 5p cheaper than the Daily Mail. As I had no intention of reading, it didn't matter to me that if bought x2 of same newspaper, and it was just chance that I checked where the voucher for the ice creams was redeemable. From memory, I thought these type of vouchers were redeemable at shops that are nowhere near me, so, just a stroke of luck that I wanted to make others aware of. Hope that explains?:)

ABA786

so with each paper You get a lidl voucher giving you £5 off, and a free ice cream? and how much Is the minimum spend at lidl?
