Any good guys

I have one similar to this, for £30 (same as what I paid) i'd say it's worth it. What you've got to bare in mind is that it's only Standard Definition, it may support 1080p inputs, but not output 1080p! For anything besides SD movies or SD gaming (older consoles) it's going to be a bad experience. I'd recommend this for people that may want to watch SD videos or movies such as older titles or some SD gaming like SNES or the Wii. Don't expect anything of amazing quality but it's a projector for £30 so theres not much to complain about Also connect some speakers because as you'd probably guess the ones build in are terrible!
Bought the one from last year when it was £30 we put it in our garden in the summer. Everyone was impressed. Also projected it on the ceiling for watching movies in bed. It's great.

Does get hot thou and is noisy

So tempted....
Good quality ,bad pictures!!!
been looking for a projector for aaaaages ! finally got one cheap Heat !
Have some heat from moi!!!
Great stuff, thanks
Shame the inputs are on the side. For my setup. I need them in the back or bottom.
Great price. I have had similar projectors before and they are great for kids rooms, etc. If you can spend about £100, then you can get a better lumen 720p projector. I have the CL760 and it is a massive improvement on these 800x400 projectors. Does not have to run in full darkness.

Have you got a link to your projector?
I bought one of these for my son at Christmas for his uni flat for £36 when they last had their sale. Image quality is great for the price. The low resolution makes it great for retro console emulation. I was surprised by the audio volume of the unit as well; you don't need an extra amplifier to watch movies with this. Voted hot and I think I may have managed to sneak one into my basket as well...
SO tempted but if it cant do HD stuff, not even 720 then no point for me.
Here is a link from GearBest, if you are willing to wait.

I bought mine from Amazon for £120, but it seems there are not the same deals at the moment.

The CL760 has different branding, but they are all the same.

how is the image for HD movies?
I bought a very similar 1500 lumens projector to act as a bedroom tv. Great for the price and hook up a Chromecast, add a £10 tripod from amazon and you're good to go. However i now definitely wish id paid more for a 720p version and a brighter (3000 lumens+) model. I use it so much that it seems a shame to have huge compromises on picture quality and its unwatchable in the daytime without blinds drawn. Great for a first projector and if you're on a budget. But if you can stretch to c£100 then amazon sometimes has 720p variants at that price which I'm keeping an eye out for
Anything below 500 ANSI and lumens is quite dull in brightness for these who dont know. It is decent for watching in completely dark room but any lights on and it will be a stretch.

Some LED projectors will mention 3000 lumens but they are not as they are LED and dont have the equivalent brightness of a lamp projector.

Ofcourse for the money you are getting a ok projector for basic watching and thats about it. Dont expect wonders and you will be happy.
Thanks for all the comments ..
i was afraid this was going to back for China to recycle , but am not convinced this is junk The cheap price was a fear.

how is the image for HD movies?

Well, it is downscaled to SD, obviously, but it's decent for £30. At this price you are normally getting a 480x320 Res projector with much lower brightness.

Fine for retrogaming. Tried some FPS on it, but obviously resolution not great for that. Lag is reasonable too. Brightness is alright - definitely darkened room needed when projected onto beige wall. You can pick up a cheap projector screen for about £10, which can help if you have very dark walls.

Personally I'd go for a used projector that is actually designed for HD films.

I got a used Epson emp-680 for £130 a couple of years back, & despite being 720p had an amazing picture & beats the hell out of these type of units, the picture quality difference between a proper projector & these things is phenomenonal, not too mention the noise of the fans being quieter, build quality etc etc.
Great find but only black in stock and code doesn't work
Got a Crenova a year ago from Amazon, had the best reviews of all Amazon projectors. Was £60, did not like the quality of the picture and wanted to send it back. They refunded £30 and I kept it. Still too expensive, poor quality, I guess the reviews were fake. Similar specifications as this one, so if you look for a decent one, pay more. Still looking for a better one, up to £100 but want it to play movies from the usb. Lots have usb, but works for pictures, no videos. Much appreciated some recommendations, thanks.
I bought one of these for £30 last time they were on sale. Great value for £30. Quality leaves a little to desire being 720 but I have it set up in my daughters room for cartoons etc. Gets loud and hot when used for an hour or so. Can’t complain for the price. If you plan to use this for gaming of watching movies I would spend a bit more on something 1080.

I bought one of these via this site last year. They are crap. If you remember those bars in Spain back in the mid nineties that used to show pirated videos to customers in the evenings that is the quality we are talking about. 480p is fine if the lamp is bright enough but my 1500lumen lamp is not as bright as the 800lumen lights we have at work in fact unless you are in almost total darkness you are wasting your time.

They are just about OK for watching kids cartoons as the flat colours and suchlike hide a lot of the problems but if you imagine watching proper movies at night with them forget it.

I don't regret buying mine though as we found a great use for it at Halloween. I downloaded an hour long series of ghost images off YouTube and projected them against the net curtain of our bay window and that looked amazing. We had kids transfixed looking at our window as the ghosts swooped about.
