Just got one. There is apparently a special promotion of 40% off when you buy one of these.

Don't know how good this is, but it's got good reviews.

Read underneath for the offer.

Looking at the video on youtube picture
quality is pretty good max to 100inch

I've owned a 480p projector, quality is actually pretty decent if you're playing a 1080p stream, pixels aren't as obvious as you'd think they'd be at this resolution

If you just want to project some cartoons onto a wall or sheet to keep young kids quiet for a few hours it will probably do fine.

If you actually want to watch films and be used by adults you probably want to be looking at 720p (or 1280x800) as a minimum.

The reviews mostly read as from people that have got this for free or heavily discounted, Fakespot agrees.

This is cheap and as long as you understand it has a pretty low resolution and light output then you'll probably be fine but just another product with somewhat questionable reviews.

Well I watched the review and it was like legends, avoid this rubbish and get a decent one. I love my optoma 141 full HD and 3d it puts most tvs to shame.

i got a crenova xpe680 of ebay uk seller for 99 pounds a few week ago.
native resolution is 720p
quite impressed with picture, as long as projecter is perpendicular to the wall the whole image focuses ok. plentry bright enough, and fan not too loud. contrast and colour ok as well.

these led projectors get a bad reputation, but some of them are worth buying.
only problem if it breaks you are kind of stuck. but i think i could replace the led if it broke , its just a generic high power led as you can buy off ebay.

I got a similar projector (dbpower t2) for my bedroom instead of a big screen tv....brilliant decision. £33 for projector and £10 for a tripod and i have a good starter setup for home cinema. 800*480 is watchable but definitely not 'sharp' and mine which is 1500 lumens requires a very dark room. That said its a good initial step into home projection. I like the experience so much that I'm looking to upgrade to something brighter and with higher resolution

I have a Crenova as well with similar resolution. It’s not going to replace your main TV but it’s was brilliant for projecting Netflix onto my daughters wardrobes for her birthday sleepover last night.

Once u start watching movies on a good projector.. U will never go back to tv

Interested in something like this, what would you guys recommend?

I have one like this. It’s good every now and then to watch a film on. You can make the picture fill your entire bedroom wall! It’s not gonna replace your tv though the quality isn’t great

Crenova, Please set resolution of laptop/PC to be 800*600 or 1024*768 to fit in the resolution of XPE680.

Why not native 1280 * 720 ?

I remember paying £1K back in the day for a Panasonic PT-AE100, same resolution as this so under £40 is a bargian.

Is there anything close to this price range (sensibly obviously) that's 720p?

I bought a similar one to this model. They are crap.

Optical keystone correction, 16:9 native (low optical res) and less than 40 quid.

Not expecting QHD performance. I bought it.

They're more £100ish. Sometimes a bit less.

My first projector was refurbished slash manager's special optima gt720 from richer sounds for 140 quid. Then went for a 550 quid 1080p version. Changed my life. I haven't looked on ebay but I would recommend second hand branded tech. I gave it to my dad and the bulb went but for 40 quid got a replacement on ebay

Ok received it - and for £37 its a bargain. Fan noise is a bit loud, but picture size and detail are most acceptable. Optical keystone is blurry round the edges.

It's something I wouldn't have any hesitation in giving the kids to look after or using outside. And heck, even for me - it's throwing a massive image on the bedroom wall and very very watchable. The tiny speaker isn't THAT bad either.

Deal is still valid...not sure why expired?

Received on for my son's christmas for his uni digs - thought it might be good for movie nights. Seems pretty bright and watchable. Sadly it's gone up in price this morning - wouldn't have minded buying another for myself!

Cheers, OP.

Works really well for the money. Picture and brightness good. Sound better than expected. The fan is quite loud but to be expected. I’ve plugged an amazon firestick in the side - so have huge IPlayer and Netflix in bed!32946182-bmUQe.jpg
