Thanks OP. Just in time for my little man's first birthday! 6

Just buy a normal single bed ...LOL

I'm interested in this but would suspect issues after extending the bed with mattress/mattress cover.

I could do with this but they haven't made it clear enough about the mattress. The smallest size would be a standard cot-bed size but they haven't given any useful info on what to buy next. I would say this is suitable for a 2yo easily rather than a 4yo as they've stated. IKEA used to do a similar bed with a three-piece mattress, don't know if they still do it

If it's home delivery, phone to place the order and ensure they actually have stock!!
We ordered a bed 2 weeks ago for delivery today. Yesterday I had text message saying it would be delivered between 2 & 4 pm.
This morning we got a call saying they actually have no stock so the bed won't be delivered.

Just realised you can collect in store, I was expecting to have to pay postage on top - have reserved one and will do some research before going to get it - thanks op

wouldn't put any 2 year old in something that they could fall out of and i wouldn't buy any bed which has an expandable frame without an expandable mattress too (and good luck with that). you're not going to need anything like a bed length unless your child is a giraffe. stick with a cot with removable sides and you can raise or lower the base to suit.

A 2 year old can fallout of any bed!, heck so can a grown adult!

Maybe I have drunk too much... but wouldn't you also need an adjustable mattress in order to use all the different sizes available?

The space where I needed it to fit would not accommodate a single bed, thanks.

I don't plan on using it as an extendable bed just as a toddler bed, I still think it's a bargain as a toddler bed!

My 2 year old son was actually climbing out of his cotbed on the lowest setting therefore this is much safer!

I don't plan on extending it, just going to use it as a toddler bed, thanks.

Looking to get the this bed, but wife is wondering how big the spaces are between the bars, as the bed description say for 4 years and older. Does anybody know?

seems unsafe just from looking at the picture

Especially if driving!
As pointed out description says from 4 years so not really a toddler bed.

The bars at the side? If so when the mattress is on my 2 year old can just fit his little hand through it. Hope this helps!

if you have a look at the overall size it looks like it should fit argos' small single mattress but would be a squeeze - but would not fit a regular single as the bed is not wide enough.
