these look excellent value ..

I got the 320gb version the other week, replaced the drive with a 750 and sold the 320 on ...
wonder how much 160gb drives are worth these days ... ?

I forgot to mention...

Vista users, careful with the included free software. The Memeo Backup software requires .net 1.1 on the and the install will not work without it. Vista ships wth .net 2 and 3 and does not like 1.1, so unless you really want to use the included software I would suggest to avoid trying to install it.

There is a workaround by slipstreaming .net 1.1 into a .net framework installation package, but that's for another day.

Seems rather expensive when 500GB is £50, this is a 3.5" drive right?

The bigger the storage space the lower the price tends to be, pro rata. However for basic storage and backups it's dirt cheap for an external drive. Not everyone wants to spend £50 and unless you have a huge music or movie collection 160gb is still a lot of extra space.
