Just ordered this as I needed one. Specs here: caselogic.com/ext…407

People also use it for Netbook storage: youtube.com/wat…pgU

Looked good to me, and cheap. Will report back when I get mine if anyone wants.

This is not a caddy its a useless suitcase for transporting an external Hard drive out with you what anyone would buy one of these is beyond me if its in a external caddy its safe anyway.

This is that cold its frozen its as good as a chocolate fire guard infact i don't ever remember seeing one before.

Not going to buy it but may not be totally useless if one carries a external drive on business a lot and simply wants to protect it......

Hot! for me, I use this type of case all the time:thumbsup:

How is a 'suitcase' useless? Do you carry your clothes in multiple carrier bags or in your hands when you go on holiday.

This is a handy carry case where all the little bits fit into one bag. I for one am always carting mine around, and this should do the job perfectly, and look nice at the same time.

But, whatever - each to their own.

It looks a good item to me, although I can see a potential shortcoming which puts me off buying one:

Is it going to fit the external power supply? Some are very square and chunky, looking at the pic, the storage pocket for the cables and PSU looks little wider than the drive, and the drives I have all have bigger PSUs than that!

3.5" drives aren't exactly handy to carry around, maybe better to put the money toward a proper portable 2.5" drive in the first place!

Well of course there isn't one., but that doesn't make a 3.5" drive any more portable.

Most people would trade off the smaller space of 2.5" drives and the slower speed for their convenience, if you are a rare user that absolutely needs to carry a bigger one around, then you have no option. It is going to mean getting one with a power supply that will fit in the case too, and I just hope you are going by car and not carrying it around on foot!

This is a brilliant deal. The same one is on amazon for £13+. Thanks
