Extra 1% cashback for using Amex / American Express on TFL until end of Feb

I use my Amex card on the tube/buses so getting 1% cashback is welcome. I was able to select it in my card offers and its valid until the end of February.

Worth a look in your offers if you have an American Express card

Hardly anyone accepts American Express!!

its rare that people don't these days. I would say I use it 80% of the time, but I suppose it depends where you shop

It's true that they don't accept it at the farm up the road but otherwise it's pretty much accepted everywhere else.

Not really relevant on a deal about a merchant who DOES accept Amex and also pays good cashback.

Another cockney deal, Amex need to diversify.
Even on the crappy Offers page, all you get is wannabe Brideswear shops and tailoring based in London....

I Agree. That Carphone Warehouse, H Samuel, Ernest Jones, Caffe nero, Halfords, Jamies Italian, Forever 21, fatface, Mulberry, American Golf and all those online firms should really expand out of London.

Can't see it on Amex gold rewards or BA amex but heat, nice deal if you can get it.

Sounds like you’re missing out on the Amex rewards!

That used to be the case but with PayPal being a checkout method on more and more retailers, Amex can then be used eg Lego. For retailers like like B&Q you can buy their gift cards in a store that takes Amex.
1%. Seriously?
Hardly worth the hassle for 1%
Worth trying on an oyster top-up. Max £90 top-up and you can then refund the next day onto a non-amex card
1%? I get it by default on every transaction since I use their cashback card.
Where are the really good deals that Amex used to offer?
The deals certainly seem pretty rubbish these days. I'm still waiting for 4 shopsmall rebates to come through. CS say I have to wait at least 60 days!
Not on mine unfortunately

This is in addition to standard cashback.

Not sure if they will do that. Anyway, £90 spend = 90p cashback.

So actually the reason you didn't like this deal was because you didn't need to shop in those places, not the fact it's a bad deal.... 🙄
Not available on my accounts
Not in my offers either
Mulberry! Yes please.... lol

I buy my B&Q gift cards via Xexec / Midcounties Co-Op,

hotukdeals.com/dea…633

Currently 7% discount on B&Q e-vouchers. Works well with trade discount.

I pay by debit card to get 7% discount. I prefer this to paying by Amex in a shop for up to 1% cashback.

Since it was about Amex I couldn't resist. I tend to avoid B&Q as other retailers are cheaper when you factor in the gift cards.
