Looking forward to the comments on this one....

wasn't this posted earlier today?

Great deal !

Note: It's 10% of the cash back amount, not an extra 10% cashback.

For the simpletons, this means if a retailer offers 5% cashback, with this TCB birthday celebration, they will give you an extra 10% of that cashback rate, i.e. 10% of 5% = 0.5%, thus, 5.5% cashback in total.

Yeah, it's better than nothing, but it's very misleading from TCB.

I hate TCB.

Just got myself a rather expensive handbag in the Clarks sale for sweet FA used tcb earnings , happy bunny, agreed very misleading

My £159 cashback from the BT black Friday deal paid out no problem

10% of nothing is still nothing In all seriousness though, I created a TCB account for that national lottery deal last month. £7.35 for £10 deposit. Got an email saying my visit was recorded and mentioned the cashback plus an additional new member bonus. Got an email a week later saying I visited the site but didn't complete my transaction. Had invoice to prove otherwise. Submitted a claim. Apparently will take 2-3 months. Off to a bad start with TCB

£1500 from TCB, never had a problem. Haters gonna hate...

Having said that, I'm not going to rush out now and order anything due to the fact explained above that it's 10% of the cashback, not 10% cashback.

Suppose it's a good deal if you were going to order something this weekend anyway.

Great deal if they pay out but personally I prefer Quidco. http://i60.tinypic.com/2hz7d5g.jpg[/img]

Personally I find TCB tracking/payouts more successful than quidco.

TCB is so flakey. Sooner take the lower quidco rate.

Good thing about TCB, I can take the pay-out in Clubcard points, and then double or triple up the clucard points for Clubcard reward vouchers.

Lol! And how much have you spent to save that...

Why not both.

I've got 4k in quidco and 2k in tcb over the years, you get a few that don't track but if your doing all contract phones every year and all gambling sites etc it soon mounts up, I get all stuff for my family as well it all mounts up

They are both as bad/good as eachother!
Very misleading.
And especially when they say "you didn't complete your purchase " when you actually did!

I've racked up over £1400 with TCB over the last 4 years or so and about £1200- with Quidco. I've found both of them to be pretty reliable on the whole but I definitely find the TCB customer service more helpful. I look on it as free money so I don't really know what there is to hate having just got my car insured for £130 and then got £38 back from TCB and a years free breakdown cover thrown in as well

Really? I haven't seen that. I just checked and didn't see clubcard vouchers as an option.

on the payout page there is an option to pay your funds into your Tesco's clubcard account, I do this and then convert them to airmiles.

however not all merchant payouts allow you to pay out to tescos and you are limited to £50 per year in clubcard points

Clearly missing the point he's getting money back on items he would be purchasing anyway, there is no downside well there is if cashback doesn't pay out but if you are only purchasing items to get cashback then you are doing it wrong.

Instead of asking how much he spent think about how much he has saved

Thanks very much superior one.

In the real world, this is a 10% boost for TCB, as 0% off the cashback will come back to the customers.

That's my plan too and sometimes clubcard do a boost where you get bonus Avios when you convert apparently, though I have yet to see that and hope someone posts if they see it!

Not vouchers points, they add the amount of withdrawal in points to your Clubcard account e.g. £10 withdrawal = 1000 Clubacrd points. Once you receive your clubcard statement from Tesco then you can use them for the deals or Boosts that Tesco offer. If you go into your TCB account , click on pay-out you will then see the Tesco option towards the bottom of the list, many other options also including Argos, B&Q, Debenhams Boots vouchers etc. Extra 5% bonus also.

I did a search with both confused and gocompare which netted me £5 cashback and from the info I found there i went with Churchill, again via the TCB link. Was really pleased with the deal as its £100 cheaper than my renewal and everything tracked really quickly.

never had a problem with TCB, until that lotto deal - didn't track, so raised a claim 3 or so weeks and received the same reply as you - not impressed....may have to go back to Quidco

It worked out ok with non-% cashback.
ie £50 cashback + 10% = £55 + 5% of £50 for their premium plus members = £57.50 - £7.50 instead of £2.50
or non-premium plus members.
ie £50 cashback + 10% = £55 + 1% = £55.50 - £5.50 instead of 50p
It needs to be paid though.

I hate TCB - started OK a few years back - got approx £1400 of cash back but these days they are beyond useless. Quidco only from now on for me.
