Usual comments from the anti-refreshed mattress brigade! When people buy these new they must have every intention of keeping it, therefore they probably take care of it and use a mattress protector. People staying in a hotel really don't worry about what they do to a mattress so the chances of picking up a 'nasty' are probably much higher in a hotel. Pretty sure the manufacturers give these refreshed products a deep clean which I imagine the hotels don't. Hot deal.

Hmmm a "refreshed" mattress. Don't know about that.

Edit: For 'hotel' comments - There's a vast difference between a mattress you sleep on for a couple of nights in a hotel and your own personal mattress you will use for years.

This refurb or a new Silentnight single (with 25% off from Argos deal): Middleton 800 Pocket Sprung?

Or this from Amazon HomyLink Ortho similar price with £16 voucher.

I know it's a fairly impossible question but opinions welcome

Slept on for less than 30 days sounds fine to me
Farted on for less than 30 days no thanks
More worried about the 30 wet patches
Cat Flees and Dog hairs.

Interesting how this deal has so much heat, but the Eve deal has been voted so cold.
Both are great deals
Scan the bed first with uv light.

Exactly. Hotels change their mattresses approx every 5 years. So potentially they are slept on by hundreds if not thousands of different people, most of which don’t care what they do to it. Where as these are slept on by 2 people at the most, for less then 100 nights.
I bought a refurb simba and it was immaculate.
Precisely my point, we bought an Otty refreshed and it was like new (and smelt very fresh)!!

You're correct. They are definitely trial returns. They are inspected to ensure that only the good ones are refurbished and the outer layers (being the layers that could collect any dirty) are replaced. Totally hygienic. Its a shame a lot of people on here can't get their heads around this process.

Same with the Eve deal I posted last week

I need to know as I want it delivered to one address and then move it to another, so it would be easier rolled up I think!

They come flat, had one delivered earlier this week from the eBay store. It’s a really heavy mattress (we have the king size), the delivery guys will take it upstairs for you though.

Edit - the mattress was spotless, the refurbished ones have only be used for a maximum of 30 days & have a brand new cover fitted as part of the refurb. Have slept on it for 2 nights, so far so good. It’s a little on the firm side but I prefer that personally compared to say the simba which was too soft for my liking.

Delivered flat, wrapped in plastic. I got one of these a while ago and it's a brilliant mattress.
If this is anything like their pillows, whenever buys this is in for a right treat!

Yeah, no difference at all.

What do you think happens? The germs, bacteria and bugs sit on a hotel bed and say to themselves, look we can't transfer ourselves to this sleeper. 'Why not?' Because they've only been sleeping on this bed for a few days - we need to wait a few years!
Only king / super king left
It says No Longer Available, even though King and Super King are not listed as OOS ??
I bough a superking refurbished a week ago... Very annoying

So what, exactly, is that vast difference? I can't see it personally, but if you could explain that might help.

The vast difference is that I accept when I go to a hotel that someone else has slept in the bed. When I buy my own mattress, I do not accept that.
Darn, just what I was looking for in a King. Missed out by the looks of things!

Fair enough. Your choice. Doesn't bother me; I've had a reconditioned one for a year and it's been brilliant. YMMV.

I guess the hotel mattress would be vastly more dirty then a refurbed given the amount of different people that have slept on it???
How many nights does it take to catch something from a mattress?
Has anyone ever actually become ill from a mattress??

For me, I completely accept when I sleep in a hotel bed, that others have slept in it and there is bacteria from that. I am fine with it, that is part and parcel of staying in a hotel and being in public.

But I am not fine with the mattress that is my own personal mattress for my home, having had some strangers sleep in it and test it for 30 days.
I wouldn't accept 20% discount on any used items such as a t.v. and I'm certainly not going to accept 20% discount on used mattresses.
Wonder why they have had so many returns ?!?

Was this not an additional 20% off an already discounted product?
If it’s 20% off retail price of new then I’d agree with you
