I called into carpet right last night, the manager told me that there was an extra discount of 20% on sale prices on selected lines, the ones with a butterfly on the description card, there were signs on the desk to ask about extra discounts on certain products.
I went back in today and ordered a new carpet I got the 60% sale discount and an extra 20%, he even took 20 % off a small piece I needed for my bathroom.

He said it was in the news of the world last sunday but may expire soon but as yet still valid

Hope this helps someone it did me

Can you please re-post this as a "sale" nick?

Thanks if you can

it says on their web site, u can get an extra 10% if you

"register your details with us and we'll e-mail you by return a special web discount voucher which entitles you to receive an extra 10% off the cost of selected purchases over £200. This discount voucher is over and above most other in-store discounts. Remember, we will need your e-mail address (or a full postal address) to be able to send you your voucher. "

can this combined with 20%

Sorry but can not find how to resubmit as sale??

I doubt if the extra 10% can be applied to the sale price and 20% but it would be worth a try, the 20% is taken off after the first discount is applied

hotted and repped. useful info. dont need any just yet but i will keep them in mind for when i need to move house.

Ive used carpetright the last couple of times ive moved home and found them open to haggling, tell them what carpets you want and what sizes ask them their best price and then negotiate! Last time i got almost 20% off their supposed best price (£500 down to £410 - not bad for 3 carpets and vinyl flooring!) have a banter with them while doing it, have cheek i usually start at just over the half of their best price mark! Dont be afraid the worst they can do is say no! Keep it lighthearted have a laugh while you are doing it and it will be good fun! I love bartaring in shops when buying big purchases!

You have posted using the "product" option, which is for individual items only. As this is more of a general "sale", I was asking if it could be re-posted as such. You cannot amend this post to a sale, but a fresh one usually has to be posted. It doesn't matter now though I suppose, as we have a few replies

Thanks for the pointer and info n1ck

Carpet Right's sales are a con! They have been investigated for the way they conduct sales by Trading Standards. I seen 'SALE' prices instore that were exactly the same prior and after the sale, and I've found that other stores are cheaper than their sale prices. Like DFS, Carpet Right continuosly have sales, which means that they don't have sales at all!

spot on about the great carpet right rip off
one example: the local independant company that i work for charge £7.99 sq mtr for a vinyl range called commando - carpet right changed the name to maxi grip & charge £24.95 sq mtr for the same vinyl!
don't be fooled by the 60% off - it's always still dearer
it should read 60% off of the 60% we put on 28 days earlier!
