First real post, so don't take it out on me!
Was looking though my Dropbox account and noticed that you can get 1GB free by installing the Mailbox App on your iOS device and then linking it with dropbox!
The Mailbox app only works with Gmail accounts at the moment but it looks pretty useful as it has got Dropbox Attachment integration and its like the Gmail app with swipe actions for reading later etc.
I installed it and then refreshed my dropbox account and then saw my storage increase from 65.35GB to 66.35GB! Its worth the simple task to get an GB free! Link takes you to the dropbox get space page, then if you click on Mailbox it will redirect you to itunes or here is the direct link!

Followed the link from Dropbox getspace page.
Already had Mailbox installed.
Linked Dropbox in Mailbox app.
Immediately got the Dropbox notification of extra GB.
Thanks OP.
After how Google has been messing Microsoft about by blocking access to Youtube, I honestly don't trust Google to provide a service where I can access my data from where ever I want.
Google could provide the biggest storage options, and fastest connection, but if I can't use it, there is no point.
Scroogled again.
Nicey nice!
I have Dropbox, GDrive, Skydrive, Box.com, and many others, ALL FREE.
Why compare the pros and cons, just have then all!
HTC were doing a promo for a while where you got 25GB (If memory serves)... couple of phones, quickly get you up to that.
They were/are doing something called the space race for unis collages etc and you got extra space for every one using it I'm up to 145GB from the space race alone
That's a different issue though, Microsoft's YouTube app didn't comply with YouTube's ad requirements - which is how the channels are funded as well as the company. Drive is personal data storage, which Google would have an interest in allowing access to as easily as possible (it's a selling point), not an issue of how a competitor scraps data from one of their services.
Except Microsoft fixed that, released a compliant app, and then within less then 24hours, google blocked it again saying it wasn't using proper HTML5 for the app. Forgetting that there are a number of other apps out there, not only on windows phone/metro, but also Android and iOS that provide a ad-free content view for Youtube.
For what ever reason, Google are screwing over Windows Phone/8 Metro users at the moment and that along is reason enough for me to abandon the use of Google servers that i consider important enough that if I were to loose access to them, it'd affect me.
My data storage in the cloud, is one of them such services.
Have a 50gig accoutn there and it's hardily touched.. My dropbox however i used everywhere.
Even on my suamsung smart tv.. I can connect it to skydrive, dropbox and SugarSync? - No Box!
That's right, in a nutshell.
Download Dropbox on your Ios device, login, download Mailbox, create an account, click settings, click Dropbox, click yes to link Dropbox with Mailbox. Dropbox will open, head to settings, check your free space.
I do dude, im just saying which ones best !
Thing is with Google, can you actually trust them to keep a service up and running?

From Google Wave and Labs to the much loved Google Reader, they seem to have a habit of killing things off.
Thanks a gig.
mind I believe the 50gb is only for 2 years. I'm sure that ut said that when I registered my Samsung
Just a notice. If you have a jailbroken phone and applocker on Dropbox, take it off then it will load from Mailbox
mailbox is from dropbox team
Haha, i got 48GB for the Samsung device promotion (expires in Jan though) , another 8 GB through the Space race event, some from the dropbox competition and the others from referring.
The free space should be for life, there isn't another expiring date on the bonus unlike my Samsung device promotion.
