Do you post this on every other Amazon deal that is less than £10 per item?

People can avoid the delivery charge in a number of ways, e.g. with Amazon Prime, by buying a book or a CD that they were going to get anyway (or by cancelling it or returning it if they're that desperate), etc., etc. - there is no "have to" about it.

Goodness me, you could always buy three tubs for £12.51 to get truly free delivery, and then sell/swap/trade/give them to friends. It's really not so difficult, is it?

Good deal! I'm currently pregnant with my 2nd baby so will come in handy

No, just someone who gets fed up of the small minority of ingrates on HUKD who vote cold or post negative comments on deals that are, to almost everyone else, good deals. It takes time and effort to post deals - although you won't know that, at least not yet. Would you prefer it if those of us who post good deals didn't bother to do so?

Hot! Thanks

Thanks OP, I appreciate it as I have prime, split between 4 people, £1 per month isn't really that expensive for next day delivery!

I agree this is a good deal, but i also think the savers deal at £4.99 is a good deal, and personally to me, that's a better deal as I don't have prime and don't want a cheap CD or book. I work near a savers and can run in and grab for no trouble. I don't think they deserved your response.

The attitude isn't going to make you any friends, though, is it? People are entitled to comment however they want. Losing your temper does not make them look bad. (You needn't bother to look up my record to attack me. I have posted over four times as many deals as you, some quite hot, and more to the point, I have more than twice as many "likes" as you.)

This is my favourite bum cream My mums got a free prime trial at the moment so will get her to order me a tub.

Thanks OP

To be fair, you could read angelking's comment as simply informing others that it was available in Savers. Granted it may not be cheaper than this deal BUT it's an alternative for those, who for whatever reason e.g. don't have Amazon Prime, don't need/want to order a book/CD, but may be able to get to a local Savers without the need for use of petrol, parking etc.

My point is, I don't think he/she meant any malice in their comment, atleast not any to warrant your abusive response.

Oh indeed. If Angelking had said something like "This is a good deal, but it's also available in Savers for £4.99 for those who prefer that" that'd be fine and helpful to other people, but for the first comment on this deal, along with a number of cold votes (without explanation), to be pretty negative is tedious.

Personally I reckon we should do away wuth cold votes on HUKD - they do nothing and add no value, and are indeed often abused by petty people voting down other member's posts for political or religious reasons etc.

Perhaps I came back a bit strong, in which case I apologise, however, perhaps angelking and dizzychicc might care to consider how their comments come across too.

Hey mate
I always have bought it from Savers as it is this price for ages and ages.
I don't have prime nor do I have the need to spend £10 at Amazon to make this a deal for me.

My comments were a simple comparison for anyone who needs it can make a decision where they would want to buy from.

And how do you know what I voted?

Do babies not get this free anymore from doctors!!

I don't know, and didn't say how you voted (and nor have you said you voted - read into that what you will!) - my complaint is about your minimalist, less than encouraging, thankless comment so soon after I'd taken my time to post a deal that seems to be proving quite valuable to many other HUKDers. Why don't you take the time and effort to post your Savers deal? I might have some sympathy for you if you did bother yourself.

wow im not sure if you have waaay too much time on your hands but seriously, checking people's profiles???? the comments box is for exactly that, do you really have to attack every negative response.

Ordered thanks Ajibee - and I'd be surprised if anyone who frequents this site struggles to spend £10 a time on Amazon!

If someone posts a silly negative comment, such as yours, without adding any value to a thread, it takes just one click to see who's all hat and no cattle, as they say in Texas. It takes a lot more effort for you to post your worthless comment. Perhaps, as I asked above, and haven't had an answer yet, people like you would prefer it if those of us who take our waaaay too much time to post good deals didn't bother to do so.

oh ok and if someone like angelking finds a better deal or one that may suit others better, they shouldn't mention it incase they upset you and face an essay of abuse?? pipe down!! end of.

my partner bought this same size in tesco reduced to £2.62 she just proved it to me with receipt

Unlike you, apparently, I'm not here for the social life! I prefer good deals. Speaking of which, it seems to me entirely reasonable to point out when critics of deals have never (or hardly ever) bothered themselves to post any deals of their own! Blinking cheek.

However, if you want to persist with your willy waving line, note that it's more about what you do with it rather than how often you do it - quality over quantity, hence your low hit rate of hot deals (41 out of 291, many below freezing), compared to mine (28 out of 60, with just two freezing) - you do know that the 'H' in HUKD stands for, don't you? Same goes for the 'likes' about which you make so much, with your 3,482 comments (3.47 per day) garnering 1472 likes, compared to my 1337 comments (0.65 per day) garnering 585 likes - quality over quantity again!

Note also that I habitually vote hot on freezing deals (with rare exceptions), simply to encourage people who take the time to post deals - it is extremely tedious when ingrates anonymously vote other people's efforts cold! This doubtless includes many of your freezing deals, such as this one: hotukdeals.com/dea…659.

The bottom line is that a small minority of negative voters and commenters on HUKD discourage those of us who post deals from bothering to do so. Why? And to what purpose? Just because they can? Do we really have to tolerate the nonsense from lowest common denominator posters without reply? People should be more generous in their thanks and more forgiving in their criticisms - maybe then the world might be a better place. It might be a forlorn hope, but if we don't all try it's never going to happen.

Wow, this is a truly unpleasant thread.

it's on 3 for 2 in-store at boots, works out at £4.17 if you buy 3, or you can mix with other baby products such as nappies and wipes

Obviously not. My point is simply that the attitude you are displaying here makes you look bad. It is possible to express yourself without coming across as thin-skinned and petulant, and more effective if you can avoid doing so.

Bloomin heck, I thought this was a deals website?

Cold from me OP's attitude is bad.

Also i hate posts where they put what heat a previous post for the same thing for a few pence more got looking for more heat because it cheaper now.

I'm afraid I'd have to agree with LongPockets here, whilst I can appreciate the time and effort it takes to find and post a deal ( even though I never do it myself) I do think that your level of aggression seems a bit much. Its not very community minded now is it? It's a good deal but certainly not worth getting all het up over. I do like Sudocrem though, lovely all smeared over my face at bedtime. Keeps me young.

Ach, I'm just sick of all the takers on HUKD who don't make much effort, if any, those who hoard items and then flog them on ebay, those who post negative and discouraging comments without foundation. Whatever. I have a right to free speech too, and if it makes you think ill of me, why should I be bothered? It's not a popularity contest - it's about finding, sharing and appreciating good deals. The alternative approach is, like the last line in Kenneth Williams diary before he overdosed, to ask yourself "What's the b****y point?", and not bother posting.
