Seems like a pretty good deal, although I haven't seen the pumpkins myself to confirm how "extra large" they are. Tesco's "giant" pumpkins are £3.00 each, so you're certainly getting a lot more for your money!

The deal is running until and on Halloween.

Sounds a good deal, Sainsburys are £3 for a "monster" pumpkin

Got two last night, picked two lovely big pumpkins, good deal.

Really not that big, TBH. You'd have a trickier time than usual putting a proper mouth with gaping teeth on one of those...

True saw them the other day and was not impressed,

be English, buy a Turnip

i love turnips, easier to carve and you get to eat the inside, so many fun memories, but nowerdays they are tiny and are pretty expensive in comparison to the pumpkins

The 'extra large' are not actually very large in my opinion. I bought a 'giant' size at Tesco for £3 which are big, however saw the same size in Co-op for 50p cheaper @ £2.50 so would have bought that had I seen it there first.

VERY small compared to ones I've seen in Co-op and Morrisons.

Morrisons MEDIUM pumpkins are bigger than the "extra large" pumpkins in Tesco and the Co-op pumpkins are a lot bigger than the Morrisons pumpkins!

2 for £3 at Morrisons too, I believe.

Most of the "Extra Large" pumpkins, and they had four bins of them in my local, were the size of footballs. When you think that you have found one the size of a basketball you read the label and it says "Giant" which are £3 each. I think Tesco's are having a laugh.

A few ideas of what to do with them:

kids found out about cooking the seeds online , so not only have they tomake a mess carving them they tie me to cooker for an hour cooking them , gotta love them , probaby taste rank

Any nice soup recipes for these..?

I guess, but they're not culinary pumpkins, so not really as nice. You're better using butternut squash or a different variety of pumpkin/squash.

Waitrose have a really massive set of Pumpkins for sale. I don't know how much they are but have a diametre of about 1m.

Check out this badboy Pumpkin , if you know Angry Birds you will love this rovio.com/upl…JPG

..yes, I wouldnt call these 'extra large' still, cheap enough for some pumpkin fun!

Depends on whether the 'Extra Large' is metric or imperial!

Surely there is a legal requirement to state size/quantity on foodstuffs? I guess the answer is quantity: one.
