Feels like a good price here to me for the bits. As always you can do a free click and collect.

Professional quality 9 piece set of extra long 150mm bits. Comprises: PH1, 2 and 3, PZD 1, 2 and 3 and slotted 3, 5 and 7mm.

Hope it helps someone.

Thanks worthinger, I take that on board, however I typically find that the girth of the magnetic extension creates problems in itself.

My advice is to find a 150mm quick release or magnetic extension that will take short bits. Toolstation a magnetic one for 1.98
Doubt these will be up to much abuse.

Ideal in the tool bag for the odd job
This is the regular price. Not a deal in my opinion.
Good deal.
For those that don’t have a TS nearby, you can get a set on Amazon for £5.49 delivered (if you have Prime).
I have these, the tips mashed up on no time - not worth it.

Actually, that's really useful to know! - I bought a set of virtually identical bits from Mapin about 20 years ago, I've misplaced a couple, and chewed the ends of others so at some point I'll need a replacement, handy to know who has them!

These will last about 10 seconds in an impact driver.

Hence an extension with a couple of packets of pz bits is a better option. If not using in a power tool you're better off with a screwdriver to be honest.

You are right that these particular ones will be useless in an impact driver, but extension isn't a better option as it adds thickness and in narrow long spaces where the bit need to reach it won't, due to the added thickness from the extension, so one should get the similar set but for the impact driver, my 2p worth..

I can't think of any situation where a 9 or 10mm magnetic extension or 12mm quick release won't fit and if I encounter one I'll revert to a screwdriver.

Any quality 150mm bit deemed suitable for an impact driver is not going to be cheap and screwdriver bits should be treated as disposable items. So one decent extension and boxes of reasonable quality bits at c. £5.00 for 25.

Each to their own when it come to tools but I have enough experience to know what does/doesn't work or is/isn't a waste of money.

Clearly you haven't been in as many situations as I have in last 25yrs of working in a trade, but as you said each to their own..!

Agreed these are for very specific situations, otherwise we would certainly use regular bits of course.

I did quote you, as you said yourself that, you haven't been in situations where extensions weren't good enough and I have, where the extensions have been useless, otherwise I am not into prick measuring contest..! Have good day!

Shame you had to measure your prick then, eh.

Worthinger, you clearly don't work in the trade if you think an extension (or a long screwdriver) is all you require.

These are very handy to have and yes you will use them. I put up 18 Venetian blinds in our house with these, in an impact driver, which with your method, a long screwdriver or a magnetic extension was impossible.

For less than £4, you may as well put them in your bag.
They dont last long at all

No, you're quite right...i don't put up venetian blinds for a living.

"the trade" though? Like there is only one?

Good job you'll have a few as they'll only last one go each
