What dye then ? mid code etc##edit I did a quick search after so appear to be MCC 03RG20 (maybe faked though)

Great price. Anyone else used these? Btw add the fact that ebuyer have free postage at the moment.

My personal preference is for the Verbatims at £7.50. I like easy burns and also the recording still to be there in a years time.

I have now moved over to just storing dvds on H drives anyway as its much more flexible.

I bought some of these last year and they were fine.

This is the media code:

00000000 00 42 00 00 01 40 C1 FD 9E D8 52 00 02 85 0D 0E … 00000000 00 42 00 00 01 40 C1 FD 9E D8 52 00 02 85 0D 0E .B...@....R.....00000010 88 9A 80 00 03 4D 43 43 20 30 33 00 04 52 47 32 .....MCC 03..RG200000020 30 20 20 00 05 88 80 00 00 00 02 00 06 09 0B 14 0 .............

No doubt fake but they're still good disks

I was going to moan you had forgot to put the delivery price in the title, but I see it's free with 5 day, thanks!:-D

Could you guys elaborate the disks being 'fake'?
I've never heard of fake disks so I'm just purely interested media code/dye stuff

The media code MCC (Mitsubishi Chemicals Corp) is used with Verbatim discs and are usually a lot more than £5 per 50.

It's unlikely these discs were produced in a Verbatim factory, but you never know, it might be media that fail a quality control test and were repackaged.

More likely though, the manufacturers 'borrowed' the MCC media code for compatibility reasons, most dvd writers will recognise this code and burn without any problems, the media dye wont be as good as proper verbs, but they'll do me for some Mythbusters episodes

OP, this is a hot deal.

I just bought a 100 pack of TDK for £10.49 Delivered (quickfind code: 77826). Better reviews, plus I've had a pack for about six months now and used about 70 with no problems.

Hope that helps!

EDIT: Sorry these are CD's!

Hot. Ordered. Thanks op

Hell yes. I've managed to get some of those "4 for a pound" discs a couple of years ago.DVD Identifier said they were TAIYO YUDEN for God's sake ! I got a load of them. While they were reasonable, they wetren't great and they didn't have the giveaway distinctive slight gap on the innermost of the writable side. I assumed they were fake, then.
