Cheapest I've seen a 1080p set...tempted at this price! Someone bite the bullet and let us know what its like

Hot from me

Hot, bagged one!!!!!!

Not the same at all. This is full hd, not half arsed HD.

Really cheap for a 1080p set, wow. But you do get what you pay for on this sort of thing, its contrast ratio is only 1500:1 and even thats dynamic. That sort of spec was poor three years ago. Nevertheless rather than be accused of trying to pee on a fire, this seems to be an interesting deal

Banned

i bought the 42'' nearly two years ago fantastic tv never had a problem and the picture is great

as said already the picture wont be very good compared with brand names but it is very cheap for full hd

Anyone who takes notice of contrast ratios need shooting. Each manufacturer quotes their own, what might be 1500:1 for one, could be 10000:1 for someone else. I'll pretend my old sony is 50000:1.

Internal scaler for SD will be rubbish, but picture no worse than a budget 22" monitor I bet.

i'd be more worried about the sound, I got one of those technikas from tesco. Its fine but it sounds a bit like it uses laptop speakers

I`ve got two of ebuyers budget TV`s, a 32 inch and a 42 inch. They have good picture quality, good sound quality, and I can`t fault them, certainly not at the price. I know for me the extra hundreds of pounts for a "brand" really would be a waste of money, there isn`t enough difference in picture quality to make it worth spending any more money.

Hot!

how would this perform as a monitor.
would this work well with a nettop

Should be ok as a monitor, friend of mine uses a 47" LCD TV as a wall hung monitor and he gets by. A nettop /netbook will be able to output to a resolution of 1920 x 1080 no problem, so should be ok.

anyone get one of these?

whats the verdict?
