Just seen Extra Virgin Olive oil at the local Co-op store in Beeston for £2.50 per litre. Maximum 3 bottles per person. So get some mates to each buy three.

yeh I wouldnt really suggest it for chips, better to get a a huge tub of vegetable oil or sunflower oil IMO. Works out way cheaper even at normal price.

No limit at Somerfield Earl's Court.
Got 12 bottles.
Expiry date is 12/2011 so you can store it under the stairs.
You will not find a cheaper extra virgin, and it is a good quality oil.
Agree with don_in_ed: better deep fry with sunflower oil.

you shouldnt use extra virgin oil with any kind of baking or higher temperature cooking as it breaks down too easily which destroys any nutriional benefits. Olive oil is better for cooking

It is best to just add it to your dishes after they have been cooked :thumbsup:
