Price matched at Argos too.
Anybody own one of these? Are they any good or is there anything better at a similar price?
Is there any streaming lag? Just looking for a camera to be used as a baby monitor

There will always be some lag with Wi-Fi connected cameras. I've two Kasa cams to monitor my kids and the baby room, lag is about 1 second. I have an EZVIZ camera monitoring the front driveway which is 12v powered (not usb) and this also has about 1 second of lag. It's really network dependent, but you'll never get seamless streaming without a wired connection (LAN) on most home Wi-Fi systems. Fwiw, I really rate the EZVIZ outdoor camera and app I have, works well with my Google nest hub too.

I have the older model of this, Im not sure if their is any difference bar the design of the camera. We actually have 3 of them and ive been very happy with the quality of the video. One to watch the puppy during the day and the other two sit in a downstairs and upstairs window, facing outwards. Each one links to the app easily with a QR code or a password printed on the camera. You can view a live feed of each camera or watch alerts back inside of the app. The app also alows you to zoom in on the video and pan around. When the cameras detect movement it automatically alerts you and saves the clip in the app. The only down side is that they can be a bit too sensitive (sunlight going through a cloud has set an alert off, leaves blowing by etc.) They also have a low light setting for night time, which it automatically switches to when needed. My friend recently bought one as a baby monitor, as he said the quality was good and for a baby monitor equivalent he was looking in the region of £100.

1-3 secs is ok but some of those cheap cameras perform with lag over 10 secs so just wanted to ask for it. Thanks
Good picture quality but can’t be used as a baby monitor that stays streaming on the phone, stops connection after 5 mins

Thanks for the info. If I was to still use a baby monitor for continuous audio and just use the camera intermittently for video I'm guessing it would be ok?
I'm after a camera just like this. I'm torn between this camera, a similar priced YI camera or a similar priced TP-Link. My primary use would be for video to compliment a baby monitor but I would potentially buy a second or third unit for security. Any advice welcome!

What are you using, Alexa or Google Home? I've TP-link and use Google Home and it works great. For security though the TP-link only backs up to cloud for 12 hours without additional subscription. EZVIZ is what I use for security since it has both cloud and SD card. Both work great to view live on nest hub or Chromecast connected tv's.
