Cracking price. Cheapest at the minute and after a race like todays I'm thinking of getting a copy.

Xbox version is more for some reason.

agreed. think the wet races are more entertaining. schumacher was good today but button was awesome in fairness

hated it, twitchy controls...im all for realism but it doesnt work well in games and id be surpried if the f1 cars hadnled this badly....spinning out with sheer ease

Single Player is a long career mode - I reckon that's good though
Online is good if your in a good match, you have a high chance of ending up in a race with a bunch of idiots taking you off because your faster!

agree with the above. if you race against tidy people then it's a great game. when people just try and smash you off the track then it gets a bit annoying

Great game. Very glitchy though with online mode as you see cars jumping and twitching all over the place, saying that thought great fun til the usual idiot knocks you off!!! At this price its a must.

Wow, this is perfect timing! Dug out an old copy of F1 2006 to play with my son this evening and he loved it, so said we'd have to look out for a more up to date version... BINGO! Thanks OP

Me neither.

Shocking game imo. Bought it at launch and it's riddled with bugs and issues with the rules. AI cars all pitting at the same time. Tyre blowouts ever 2 minutes.

I suspect some of the issues were patched by now but really it is total crap as an official F1 game.

Biggest issue I think is that the Qualifying times are randomly generated and bare no resemblance to what the cars do on track.

Buy at ya peril! Ya may like it but I just thought it was total crap.

Either too hard or too easy. I wish that you could set up the auto controls somewhere in the middle instead of the seemingly 'all or nothing' approach that the developers have gone for. Maybe I am just crap??

What makes this a great game, as with F1 CE, is that you wont win every race, maybe hardly any until you start to tweak your car and mould it to how you drive. It's not an arcade racer of just loading it up and that's it, it's a proper sim and works great for that reason. I do feel I preferred a few more things in the 2006 version though. This newer version does miss the course introductory from Brundle and the graphics (colour wise) are more washed out and everywhere has a dark feel to it, just like Grid did, shame really. Even on a sunny lit Monaco, the sky looks unnatural. Despite 2006 being actually 5 years old now, graphically it does stand up to the 2010 edition, and colour is much better. But that can all be forgiven just for the pretty current Rosta to race against. Hot!

Not a bad little game, I have been playing it a lot recently and there are certainly a few flaws in it. Played on a harder difficulty is unrelenting in it's punishment if you make the slightest mistake (I guess like real life racing) which initially can be frustrating but you can pick up a driving style pretty quickly.

As RebTheRebel said, you get the most from the game by sorting your own set ups but I would recommend taking a look on racedepartment.com/f1-…ps/ for advice and other peoples set ups.

If you are new to the game and want the driving aids on, the biggest bit of advice is make sure "auto braking" is off as it really is far to conservative and you will find it very hard to compete in qualifying and racing.

Brilliant game, best F1 sim there has been. It is very realistic (read: hard) so don't expect to win every GP. If you have the force feedback wheel, this game is a must.

Love this game so much cracking price, cant wait for F1 2011!
