Good price but boring game!

anyone played on xbox one x? good?

I think it's an excellent game! I got it when it was £35.99 the other week from Argos and for that price I am very happy with it.

If you are into F1 you will love it, very realistic and has all of the proper rules and regulations in there, plus you have infinite ways to set it all up with difficulty sliders etc.

I can't fault the game at all, been playing it none stop since I purchased it (on Xbox One if anyone is wondering).

Best of all, it's perfectly playable with a controller and the tracks are very realistic. With a wheel though it would be amazing.

I can possibly see how you wouldn't like it if F1 is not your thing, but if you are even remotely into F1 you will love this game. There are so many facets to the game from working out when to replace engines, mgu-h, mgu-k and so on down to using your resource points that you earn in practice to advance car development. It almost has a feel of lots of mini games within the game. I find the whole thing to be really enjoyable as an F1 fan.

Also the AI is very good, if you are approaching fast down a straight and start to think of n overtake they will move over to block the inside.

One of the best features is mid session save. So in any session, qualy, race, practice etc you can just save and exit - ideal when the Mrs is shouting you to do something!! ;-)

Standard "should I wait for next Friday?" question! Hmmmm, might drop to £30 or just below!

They must have improved the AI since 2016,if you moved to protect your position in good time they would just drive straight through you without altering speed or course, sold it on...

Theres nothing realistic about this game at all
The AI is rubbish, the driving itself just feels like an arcade game of 20 years ago
Surely these games should be far better than the games of yesteryear, they just feel like the same old tut being pedalled out again and again with a different year on the front just to make coin..

And don't get me started on that numpty on the front cover!

Is the demo restricted to specific game modes or is there a time restriction?

If it's like the ps4 demo, all I got to do was round 1 in Australia then an invitational at Silverstone. Demo ended after that.

Not too sure, I've just bought a Drivehub so I can use my G29 wheel on my Xb1X so I've only been doing practice laps over and over to see how it performs.

Probably the same as the PS4 trial.

Yeah seems to do what is says on the tin, I did a bit of research before buying and the general consensus is it works very well on a wide range of wheels/formats.

FFB etc on F1 2017 feels pretty spot on compared to 16 on PS4 with same wheel, Forza 5 & 7 (demo) both feel a bit strange atm but I haven't given them much time tbh and I've not played the series much, let alone with a wheel.

As always it takes some tweaking to get the handling etc feeling just how you like it, button mapping and advanced settings have all been available in the games I've tried which was a bit of a concern of mine.

Early days really as I've not been able to try it as much as I was hoping to but so far so good, ideal solution for me as I have a few racers on PS4 but also want to race on Xb1X with higher framerates etc where possible.

Thanks for the mini review. tempted, I’m the opposite way round g920 for my Xbox but want to use wheel on my PS4

No worries, yeah should be fine, it basically tells the PS4 it's a G29 (and vice versa), rather than just a controller like a lot of these devices do.

Some proper feedback here:
gtplanet.net/for…20/

Also, buy from Collective minds site as they hold stock in UK, this will avoid import duty.

Now I've bought one they're bound to drop in price so next week could see an offer, you can currently get 10% off with 'gtplanet10' code.

On topic lol, the Xb1 digital version of F1 2017 is £32.99 on MS store until Tues.

Would the drive hub allow us to use a Logitech G920 on the PS4?

My son has Xbox One and I said I would buy him the G920 if it's on offer before Xmas but I have a PS4 and would like to be able to use it on that also.

Looks like a good invention.

That’s how I read it, I want to use my G920 on my psvr dirt rally

Yes it would.

I was going to grab a G920 on the cheap and sell my G29 but this way I get the best of both! (I don't work for the company but I'm starting to think I should be on commission :)).

Worth noting the G29 has rev limiter lights on the wheel but the G920 doesn't (something I learned recently), these only work on PS4 games tho and not on Xb1 games using a G29 & DH.

I don't really use them tbh but I know they are important to some.
