Yeah, context is a thing...
I’m assuming after 1 use since they are disposable. Honestly, I have no idea, I got them for my mum in case she has to go out on public transport. Better than nothing.

There is no reason you shouldn’t go out or go to work if you are not high risk. The media and social media have made it worse than it actually is, if you are a relatively healthy person then don’t worry, the infection rate is low and the chance of you dying is basically 0. Only the elderly and high risk should be staying at home. People need to turn the TV off and do more research themselves.

Would be interested to know after how much wear you are meant to dispose of these?

My mum did the water test on these and said it didn’t drip through which is apparently a good sign. They also had some £1.99 reusable washable ones too.
Available in the Bidston Moss store today too.
£10 cheaper than Boots!
The virus is not airborne. Have you not been watching the news these last 3 months. Also, the masks are to protect others rather than ourselves. So if everyone wears one........

All masks are single use only for them to be effective

4-6 hours or change sooner if they start to feel wet or become contaminated.
If you want face masks then this is a good price.

I know right! Not sure why it’s been voted cold, I haven’t found anything cheaper than this yet.

These are non medical and don't appear to be R rated, so a bit useless for NHS but probably fine when out shopping etc

There are type I and type II , the latter have better filters . If they are R rated they offer some protection against aerosols etc

FFP2 / FFP3 masks offer better protection (not very significant) but cost far too much for daily use.

Best is to keep distance, keep moving, avoid small populated areas indoors plus mask.

Alternative is home made and use three blue roll kitchen sheets as filters

It still is a criminal offence to wear a religious face covering. I know racism is irrational.

You mean the niqab. The hijab is to cover the head. And yes, agreed, and it was France who made it mandatory to wear a face mask first. Dumb all round.

Nikab ✅
Folks are being told to go out. these help.
These type of clinical masks have an effective usage time of 15 minutes after which there would be little difference between a 15 minutes worn face mask and wrapping cloth or scarf around your face and head.

The Type 2r are the clinical one's health professionals use. they have a maximum use of 4 hours or sooner if feel wet.

These are not the clinical ones (wouldn't be used by NHS staff) and not sure where the 15 minute limit comes in but does not apply to the clinical ones.

I would assume these non clinical ones would be 4 hours limit as well. A 15 minute mask would really be useless, not enough time for most to do their shopping or communte to work, nevermind if you were wearing them in work environment during a shift.

These are the kind of masks provided to non medical key workers (eg supermarkets staff)

No, they are not.

People who have being shielding are being told they may now go out (with social distancing), but no-one in the country has been “told to go out”.

bought a box of 100 of these, last year in India, they cost just around £4 so that would make 50 for £2. Now I know we are not in India and I know there is a worldwide pandemic but I also know some people ore making a great deal of money out of this.

You know in Africa they pay 30 times the cost of some basic life saving medication.
Funny how we only realise this type of profiting when it affects us.
Edited by: "Pecs" 6th Jun
Is that the case? I am not on hotafrican deals I am on a UK website and making reference to this advertised deal, my point being these are ten times the price of what I paid and taking import duty, transport........ someone is making a lot of money from this.
Do you worry about the cost of medicine in Africa? do you do anything about the situation? Is it actually the truth you speak , because I just checked the cost of paracetamol and its comparible to the UK
I certainly don’t worry as much as I should. That was the point in my comment . But seems you felt it was an attack on you ... you still don’t get it.

Or they can make one at home.
They've not prescribed a specific mask...just 'a mask'.

You do not need to wear a mask like this, anything that covers your face, a home made mask or a scarf is sufficient.
