    Because others will vote cold without knowing what they vote for. There is nothing better out there for video calls on the big screen. It will suit people with limitations, elderly, parents with small kids, people with families abroad, etc.

    These things were a fortune when covid was keeping us away from friends and family they don't deserve to sell any for trying to make a profit out of people missery.

    Nonsense. They were expensive when they came out. And rightly so, because nobody offered video calls on the big screen.
    I've purchased twice during the Covid, once for £47 and once for £49. On top of this, 2 years ago we had a deal here, 2 x Portals (not the TV one) for £35.
    In Dec, during Covid, these were £54 at Argos plus another 10% off with a code. Same price at Amazon and Currys at that time.

    Just be aware Alexa functionality is not as inferred. You can't drop in or call other Alexa devices or use any of Alexas main functionality.

    I had ordered two a few weeks back because of Alexa "integration" and sent straight back.
