As with regards to failure, they've sold a huge amount of these and their other Portals. The failure was they wanted a high price and at £200, not many purchased. Echo and Google devices sold at cheaper prices. Also, Facebook issues related to data protection affected the sales.
As soon as they reduce in price, they sell straight away. I think they did very well, and IMO their TV Portal is the best device out there for video calls. Especially at £50, which became lately their RRP. I'm surprised the competition did not come out with products similar to the TV Portal. (edited)
